F02 problem The pump is pumping the water out( I see it moving through the pvc hose in bottom and into the stand pipe the problem is the pump wont shut off, goes to sud, pump shuts off for 4-5 min then kicks on again(theres no water to pump out) the goes to F02. I checked the clean out in bottom, it is clean. The impeller is turning and pumping water out. Its like its not getting a signal to turn off.

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

Stops in cycle and says f 02

F02 error is related to drain pump block. If the drain pump gets blocked or the drain hose is blocked the error comes up,this is indication of cleaning the drain pump and drain hose.If the drain pump and drain hose checked ok then its faulty drain pump, its not draining the water so the error f-02 is showing up. error F-02 is a slow drain problem. Remove the wide tapering pipe from the drum to the pump. Inside there is a non return ball valve. Clean this and see if that helps. Take the front bottom panel off and open the drain trap, and see if there is any thing got stuck up,like coins, nails, socks or any small cloth etc etc.--------------While removing the drain pump and drain hose for cleaning, please keep thick towel with you.As you disconnect the drain pump from its connection, lot of water will flow towards you,if your machine is filled with water. So keeping this towel with you will help to control this water flow towards you. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Washer will not wash complete load. flashed f02, water not draining

F02 stands for long drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

you can press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

you might want to check..

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem most probably you will have to replace the pump

F02 code

A better model number would be a great help in our trying to solve your problem but here goes.

Remove the front/lower panel by removing the screws at the very bottom of the lower panel. Then look at the the large circular drain coc^k. It has a white handle on it. You will need several towels or a shopvac standing by because water will come out during the next step:

1. Turn the handle, (*water drains now")
2. Remove the drain coc^k,
3. Remove the debris in the filter,
a. Check inside the pump where the filter was.
You will see the pump impeller towards the right side. Make sure this is also clear and I do mean look really good in this area.
. b. Also check the pump inlet hose as well as you can for socks or other debris.
4. Put the draincoc^k back in, ensuring it is tight by turning the handle.
5. Restart the machine while the lower front panel is still removed.
6. Check for leaks.
7. If the F02 code persists, you may have to replace your pump. If the F02 does persist... first try unplugging the unit for about 10 minutes then test cycle it again.

Thanks for using FixYa.

The water will not drain and the spin cycle will not work.

Open bottom of machine and check the drain pump to make sure it's not clogged.

I have a Whirlpool Duet. I am getting an F02

You may need to disassemble all the hoses and inspect everything problem maybe a partial block? It can still drain but if it is slow and takes too long you will get the F02 error.

not a very normal condition you have here, lets try removing hte back cover, behind there on the lower left of the drum youll see a small black rubber hose leading from the top (pressure switch) to a resivour under/on side of tub, remove the hose and chck for clogs, blow though in both directions, i gues its possible that the hose and/or the spot where it connects to may be clogged with soap residue, preventing machine reading that the tub is actuallly empty.blowing through from bottom to the top yopu should here afaint "click" noise. thats the pressure switch activeting(normal) and blowin back down its possible and normal to hear bubbles blowing.

ok lay the machine on its side the side with the soap draw under you will find the outlet pipe runing to the pump then another hose going from the pump to the bottom of the drum. if you disconnect the hose from the bottom of the drum you will find the filter remove this hose from the other end and clean the filter and hose with hot water once replaced check the hose in tight it may be tricky to replace stand up the machine and test using water only and an empty drum.

F02 error on Kenmore front load, followed solution, problem still exist, What next?

cant see what you tried to repair problem (dont see original post) but F02 is a long drain time. or innaddaquate drain. usually from a clogged, drain pump/button trap. ill assume you were told to remove the lower access panel, gain acess to the drain pump assy, clean the "button trap" of foreign derbis. if thats been done and your still having draining issues iehter theres something i nthe drain hose, or perhaps the drain pump impeller has been damaged preventing proper flow of water.

F02 code on duet/ht washer

We had this problem after our baby's socks started going missing in the wash cycle. We found them in two places: 1. Underneath the rubber gasket of the front-loading drum, and, 2. In the drain line, but not in the hose that comes out of the back of the machine. The manual and website make no mention of the three torx screws on the front, lower panel that can be removed, exposing a drain that can then be unscrewed (be prepared for A LOT of water to come out of here if you haven't been able to get it to drain). Inside here we found the culprit baby socks, removed them, ran a fan on the exposed electronics over night to dry them out, and put it back together. Problem solved. It's unbelievable that this information is not in the manual but had to be googled from sites like this. Hope this helps someone else and prevents an expensive service call. Maytag, you s u c k!
