Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop
My son forgot his login password can you help
If you can get to a friend's computer that has internet access and a cd burner, then go to this website http://www.pcloginnow.com/product.html
and download the program "PC Login Now" and follow the user guide to create a bootable CD http://www.pcloginnow.com/guide.html
This software is extremely easy to use and will clear your login password so you will be able to login to your windows account without reformatting your computer.
Hope that helps!!!

Login using Safe Mode (hit F8 several time BEFORE Windows start)
Login as ADMINISTRATOR Leave Password Blank
If you succeed go to Control Panel
Change Password for User you lost.
If you cannot login tell me and we can find other way using XP installation CD

OK, if you are running Windows 7, Microsoft tightened
security on it so you've got to have a password reset disk which 99% of the
people who own laptops with windows 7 fail to do. It should be one of the
first things you do when you buy the laptop. Otherwise, you're faced with
reinstalling the Operating System or possibly doing a System Recovery.
If you're on Windows XP or Vista try this:
Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Safe Mode option. Select SAFE MODE and let the computer boot up. When it gets to the User Login screen it will show the Administrator userid and the userid for which you forgot the password. Sign in as the Administrator (hopefully you didn't put a password on it and forgot it too). Once the desktop appears it will look different, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, but this is normal for safe mode.
Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts
When the User Accounts screen opens, click on the userid for which you forgot the password. Select the option to REMOVE PASSWORD.
Reboot your machine.
