I got my ipod a few weeks ago but put songs on it from a friends computer (because mine was being fixed), so when i got my computer back i had to reinstall itunes and put my songs back on. When i finally finished i synced my brothers shuffle first (because he had just gotten it), and it worked fine, but then i tryed to sync mine and it just said that the ipod wasn't connected!!! i have no idea and i can't get it connect!!
HELP!!!!
why does it reconize his but not mine???
i have tryed a new port but that didn't work!
please help if you can think of anything!!!

Since you synced your ipod with another computer, you may have to restore back to its factory settings so it will work with your computer.

How do i download music to my ipod shuffle got it from a friend and forgot to ask how to use it

You must install I-Tunes on your computer, and put your songs into it.
Then hook up your Ipod shuffle to it and it should recognize the player and allow you to add songs to it.

How to use iCopyExpert with more than one iPod

Hello,
I bought a few weeks ago iCopyExpert to put my ipod (classic)music and play list into my computer.
I have 9980 songs in my ipod to copy, all the process star OK, but when the icopyExpert begins to transfer the music to my itunes (after I already disconnected my ipod, as the program says I should do) in middle of the procedure (after 3500 - 4000 songs have been copied to my itunes) a screen window emerge saying: "access violation at address 004CBB17 in module 'iPodCopy.exe.' Read of address 00000000", and stop the copy process.
Please, can you tell me what I have to do to copy all my music passing up the message?
I will really appreciate any advice to solve this problem and finally get all my music in my VAIO PC.

Try put the cord in a diffrent port or slot besides the one you normally use. Some times they short out. Mines did. Or you could use someone else computer.

Instruction

what is the problem?

The installation is a snap.

Download Itunes
Install iTunes (and have it open)
move songs to itunes (file add songs)
plug in the usb to computer
plug in the connector to ipod (computer and itunes should auto recognize)
Move songs to ipod (drag and drop)

that should put you on the right path.

IPod Problems - Connecting to Windows / Songs Cutting Short

Sounds like Vista has some setting causing it to want to check all USB devices. Maybe a virus scan or something?

Yes restoring an ipod resets it back to all factory defaults, which is to sync automatically. So whenever you restore you will need to recheck that box.
