The game will need to be set to the same screen resolution as your monitor or the best that suits, beccause of it being widescreen, so look in the graphic or video settings in the game, or change the resolution of your monitor to suit the games highest setting. This is done by right clicking on your desktop, down to properties and then the settings tab in the next window and then move the slider at the screen resolution box.

When i'm playing games in my pc, they run fine.. but after a while like 5min the monitor goes black with that rectangular box saying "Input not supported" i have an acer AL1916W and an AMD...

Update your video car drivers and then look for the specific drivers of your monitor, it happened to me once using windows 7 i just installed the monitor's driver from the manufacturers website. go to acer website and support download page and search for your model, donwload and install and hope that solves your problem.

Trying to download/play games but get this message: Input not supported - then my computer FREEZES and I have to reboot. This a brand new Dell Computer (but not monitor - monitor is 6 years old).

This is cause the game you are trying to play is configured to play in a high resolution but your Monitor not supporting this resolution. If you havent try to play older games, try to play an older game and see if this is happening again. Thanks. Please Rate my Solution.

Acer X193w-- input not supported..

Hello,

This is likely a screen resolution issue.

That monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900 (I used to have one). If the game is feeding the monitor too high a resolution, the monitor can't display it and.....input not supported. So, if the game has a configuration option (without going into the game itself) set the resolution to 800x600 and try to play. If it works, bump up the resolution until it looks acceptable.

Hope this helps!

"input not supported"

what you may need to do is find an accepted screen resolution, as your screen is 19" widescreen and your notebook will be set for a normal monitor display, so either try the auto button on the screen or look at the properties of your graphics card om the notebook to find supported screen resolutions for extended displays.

Input Not Supported?

Try changing the resolution in the game. If that doesn't work change the resolution in 'Control Panel' under 'Display'
