Solutions for : Printer Error Fuser Temp Message
There are two configuration options available for this model; the Phaser 3100MFP/X and the Phaser 3100MFP/S. Fax features are only available on the Phaser 3100MFP/X. To determine the configuration of your machine, print a Configuration Page. See the Related Items below for additional information.
Solutions ranked by relevance:
Make Sure the Machine is Plugged Into a Functional and Stable Power Outlet Test the power outlet that the machine is plugged in to by connecting another device to the outlet. Make sure the outlet is functional and stable. If possible, have the line tested by an electrician. If necessary, plug the machine into another power outlet. NOTE: The machine should be plugged directly into the wall outlet, and should not be connected to an extension cord, power strip, or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
Reset the Fuser Error
Solution : Reset the Fuser Error
CAUTION:The following solution will put the printer in the Diagnostics mode and is only valid for this problem. Follow the steps carefully; any deviation from the process can cause other settings to be changed and / or render the machine inoperable. If at any time it is necessary to cancel the procedure and start again with step 1, press the [Stop] button four times. NOTE: This procedure will delete all pending jobs that have been sent to the machine. To reset the Fuser error: (Click on one of the following links to jump to the corresponding section.)
Disconnect the power cord of the printer from the electrical outlet.
Wait at least 30 seconds.
Press and hold the # and 3 buttons while reconnecting the power cord.
When the printer turn on, release both buttons.
This will reset the printer.
An 'Ink System Failure' or '0x... ' error message displays on the printer control panel. The exact text of these error messages varies by printer, but they are usually preceded by the word 'Error .' Solution One: Reset the printer
The error message might disappear after you turn off the printer and then turn it on again. After you make any adjustments to the cartridges or the printhead, reset the printer in order for the error message to clear completely. Follow these steps to reset the printer.
1.Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
7.If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button ( ) to turn it on.
Solution two: Remove, clean, and reinstall the printhead
If the previous solutions did not resolve the problem, the printhead might be installed incorrectly, or there might be ink or debris on the printhead electrical contacts. Follow these steps to check and clean the printhead.
Step one: Remove the printhead
Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
Open the cartridge access door.
To remove each cartridge, press the tab on the front of the cartridge to release it and remove it from the slot.
When you try to scan using the product control panel, the message 'Error: LCD List needs to be upgraded ' displays on the computer. The 'LCD list' is the list of potential scan destinations that displays on the printer.
The solution to this issue is to re-establish the connection between the computer and the printer, and then set up the scan destination list again, if necessary. Try the following solutions in the order presented.
Solution one: Restart and reset Follow these steps to restart your computer and reset the printer.
Restart your computer.
With the product turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
Wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the product, and then reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
Wait a couple of minutes to make sure that the product is ready, and then try scanning again from the product control panel.
If the issue persists, or if you want to make changes to the scan destination list, continue to Solution two.

or external electrical malfunction.Try these solutions. 1.Check the scanner light.Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start, Copy, Color button on the product control panel.While the product is making the copy, lift the scanner lid slightly to see if the scanner light is visible. 2.Make sure that the room temperature is suitable for your device 3.Perform a Power Cycle on the unit by following the steps below: 1.Turn the unit off. 2.Unplug the power cord from the unit. 3.Wait 30 seconds, and then re-connect the power cord to the unit. 4.Turn the unit on. 5.Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel. 4.Check the power connections.Disconnect the power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors and then plug it directly into a wall outlet.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel.If the error message displays again, temporarily move the product to a different room, or plug the power cord into a different wall outlet. 5.Perform a partial reset 1.Disconnect the power cord from the product. 2.Press and hold # and 3 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons. 3.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel. 6.Perform a semi-full reset(Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product). 1.Disconnect the power cord from the product. 2.Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons. 3.Try making a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the product control panel. If nothing of these works and you still see the error you should take your printer to support service for repairing the parts.
Reset and relocate the productA
power reset drains power from the product and returns the product to
the same settings after restarting. To eliminate any potential power
deficiencies that might hinder a successful alignment, HP suggests you
move the product to another location and plug the product directly into
a wall outlet. Follow these steps to reset and relocate the product.
Press the On/Resume
button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
Relocate the printer to a different power outlet, preferably an outlet in a different room.
Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet. Do not use a power strip, extension cord, or surge protector.
Do not reconnect the power cord to the back of the product at this time.
Load letter or A4 size unused, plain white
paper in the tray.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
Press the On/Resume
button to turn on the product. The product automatically prints an alignment page.

Power cord plugged in correctly?
Power coming out of the wall outlet? Try a lamp or radio to be sure.
Is the power adapter cord fully seated in the printer?
Can you chesk the power adapter with a mutimeter to be sure there is voltage at the printer end of the cord?

You may also try this Resetting to factory defaults You can reset your printer to the original settings without using the printer menus. NOTE: Resetting to factory default settings will delete all the printer settings you have previously selected.
Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold the power button according to the time you set in the menu.
From the printer control panel, press and hold the green button and the red X, and then press the power button to turn the printer on.
Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One.
Now with a lint free cloth and drinking water just moiston the cloth and clean the metal contacts of the ink cartidges and the inside of the printer where the ink cartridge get in touch with the printer contacts and leave it to dry for a while.
Then insert the ink cartridges back.
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet) Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)
