Question about Canon PIXMA MX850 multifunction InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer will not powerup.

I relocated the power cord to another outlet and still do not get power to the control panel.
Is there a reset button other than the one on the control panel, or is there a fuse that I could replace.

What would you suggest? Printer will not turn on after a recent local power outage.

I have the same problem. The printer has no power. I tried another outlet to no avail. The printer is only 6 months old.

It say it has a ink system failure error: 0xc19a0022

An 'Ink System Failure' or '0x... ' error message displays on the printer control panel. The exact text of these error messages varies by printer, but they are usually preceded by the word 'Error .'
Solution One: Reset the printer The error message might disappear after you turn off the printer and then turn it on again. After you make any adjustments to the cartridges or the printhead, reset the printer in order for the error message to clear completely. Follow these steps to reset the printer. 1.Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn on the product. 2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product. 3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 4. Wait at least 15 seconds. 5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. 6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product. 7.If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn it on. Solution two: Remove, clean, and reinstall the printhead If the previous solutions did not resolve the problem, the printhead might be installed incorrectly, or there might be ink or debris on the printhead electrical contacts. Follow these steps to check and clean the printhead. Step one: Remove the printhead
  1. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn on the product.
  2. Open the cartridge access door.
  3. To remove each cartridge, press the tab on the front of the cartridge to release it and remove it from the slot.

Trying to scan: I can read on printer screen: LCD list need to be upgraded

Hi,

When you try to scan using the product control panel, the message 'Error: LCD List needs to be upgraded ' displays on the computer. The 'LCD list' is the list of potential scan destinations that displays on the printer.

The solution to this issue is to re-establish the connection between the computer and the printer, and then set up the scan destination list again, if necessary. Try the following solutions in the order presented.

Solution one: Restart and reset
Follow these steps to restart your computer and reset the printer.

  • Restart your computer.
  • With the product turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
  • Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Wait 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the product, and then reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
  • If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
  • Wait a couple of minutes to make sure that the product is ready, and then try scanning again from the product control panel.
  • If the issue persists, or if you want to make changes to the scan destination list, continue to Solution two.

Solution Two: I will post it after confirm the issue still exists.

Regards
Riztech

Hp psc 1401 printing slow problem

Reset and relocate the productA power reset drains power from the product and returns the product to the same settings after restarting. To eliminate any potential power deficiencies that might hinder a successful alignment, HP suggests you move the product to another location and plug the product directly into a wall outlet. Follow these steps to reset and relocate the product.
  1. Press the On/Resume button to turn on the product.
  2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  3. Relocate the printer to a different power outlet, preferably an outlet in a different room.
  4. Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet. Do not use a power strip, extension cord, or surge protector. CAUTION: Do not reconnect the power cord to the back of the product at this time.
  5. Load letter or A4 size unused, plain white paper in the tray.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
  7. Press the On/Resume button to turn on the product. The product automatically prints an alignment page.

It will not turn on

I have to ask.......
Power cord plugged in correctly?
Power coming out of the wall outlet? Try a lamp or radio to be sure.
Is the power adapter cord fully seated in the printer?
Can you chesk the power adapter with a mutimeter to be sure there is voltage at the printer end of the cord?
Sorry to ask such normal questions, just making sure.

You may also try this
Resetting to factory defaults
You can reset your printer to the original settings without using the printer menus. NOTE: Resetting to factory default settings will delete all the printer settings you have previously selected.

Step 1
Make sure the printer is not in Power Saver mode. Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn off the printer. If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, press and hold the power button according to the time you set in the menu.

Step 2
From the printer control panel, press and hold the green button and the red X, and then press the power button to turn the printer on.

Printer doesnt switch on correctly

Try the steps mentioned bellow

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One.
Now with a lint free cloth and drinking water just moiston the cloth and clean the metal contacts of the ink cartidges and the inside of the printer where the ink cartridge get in touch with the printer contacts and leave it to dry for a while.
Then insert the ink cartridges back.
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

Then check and see
