I have a p1i phone and when i connect wi-fi
the blue ball came up but the page i'm opened can't be open
it always says " cannot locate server"
is there something wrong with my p1i??
how can i fixed it?

Re: wifi can't connect
Please do check if there is any wifi network available? if it is available check if that is encrypted? if so need a key to connect. Please check. If these things are correctly set then there shouldn't be any problem.

<p>Are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity that allows the device
using wireless Internet networks. The iPod Touch can connect to open and secure
Wi-Fi signals, and remember the details of the networks that had already turned
on. If you enter the wrong password when connecting to a secure network, the
iPod Touch still remember the password and try to use whenever it is within
reach. The password must be manually placed back into the iPod settings to
connect properly. <br />

<p>1. Start the Settings application on the iPod Touch, tap the
home screen. <br />
<p>2. Open the "Wi-Fi" page. The list of upcoming
Wi-Fi will be displayed. <br />
<p>3. Touch the small blue arrow to the right of the Wi-Fi
network that you want to change the "Select Network" list. A detail
of the network is displayed. <br />
<p>4. Select "Forget this Network" button at the top
of the screen. This removes all previously entered security information stored
on the iPod Touch. <br />
<p>5. Tap again to the network in the "Select
Network" list and enter the password security options on the pop-up box.
Press the "Register" button to connect to Wi-Fi network with the
security detail changed. <br />
You can follow this steps. Make sure that before you open you Wi-Fi settings, you are in the Wi-Fi Zone.
1. Click on the wi-fi icon in the menu [mostly in middle screen if you havent customised the menu items]. 2. On the next screen it wud say 'Tap here to turn Wi-Fi on' and there wud be round button saying Wi-Fi. 3. Tap on that to switch on wifi. 4. Now on the bottom menu bar Click on Search 5. It will show u a list of wifi network available. 6. Click on the one u want to connect to [A menu pops up] 7. Click on Add in the menu 8. In the form enter the network key [password u need to connect to ur wifi] 9. Depending on ur other settings of you Wi-fi router, you may need to enter some details in the form 10. Once done, click Save 11. Now u r ready to connect. 12. Click on the network u want to connect to and click on connect.
Mark the Wi-Fi checkbox. Available Wi-Fi™ networks are
displayed in a list under Wi-Fi networks. The available networks may be
open or secured. This is indicated by the icon next to the network name.
Tap a Wi-Fi™ network to connect to it. If you are trying to
connect to a secured Wi-Fi™ network, you are asked to enter the security
key for that Wi-Fi™ network before you can connect to it. The Wi-Fi™
connection is displayed in the status bar once you are connected.
The next time you connect to a Wi-Fi™ network, the phone will remember the security key.
To enable Wi-Fi™ network notification of open networks, mark the Network notification checkbox.
To connect to another Wi-Fi™ network, just tap another Wi-Fi™ network in the Wi-Fi networks list.
To scan for Wi-Fi™ networks manually, press the Menu key and tap Scan. The phone scans for Wi-Fi™ networks and displays them in the Wi-Fi networkssection.

Had the same problem but some how fixed it. WLANconnected blue ball displayed but the page didn't open.. well this is what i did and it worked... I went to my router and opened the section for wireless access point or the access control. I dint turn on the access control mine is still an open network but the was a list displaying available access cards connected to the router..in that my laptop and my P1i showed and i added them to the access control list( even though i didn't check the box to turn access control..wiered) but it worked and im browsing.. now when i check the connected devices ..it shows the P1i tooo.. soo the fix is in the router...none other solutions abt router worked except this one AND i use operamini and not the default browser.. .. am I A GENIUS?
for this time i want to tell you that i am not very familiar with the P1 wifi, however as my experience on the some wifi connection i only read the usermanual manual of the unit connecting to the internet.
please show me a picture and the model of the wifi so that i can figure out your problems.
