Re: pda delete information

Hi, most iPAQs have a soft reset at the bottom right which can be pressed with the use of the stylus. also, there is a hard on/off switch (which erases most info) on the bottom left inside a small/narrow slot/hole. A far more detailed instructions may be found at the manufacturer's website as well as the manual(s) that you probably need. Hope this be of some help to you. Good luck.

Pda ipaq 1710 not starting up

press the 1st and 4th button on the shortcut menu on the front and press the reset button. This will go through a complete hard reset and deactivate the battery. IT will take your PDA back to factory default mode. It saves you a lot of trouble. GOOD luck. If my explaining it to you didnt help then google "complete reset pda ipaq 1710". :)

I have an IPAQ 3950 PDA, I bought a in car charger from ebay and after using it my PDA no longer works. It will not switch on, charge on its home cradle or connect to my laptop, the IPAQ is completely...

Thath iPAQ have two security fuses inside,, maybe one blows up when you connect that charger,,, this is not an easy repair work,, you need to have advance experience on electronics,, or take it to an expert service shop,,, good luck!!

Ipaq RZ 1710 won't switch on

If you've backed up your PDA, I'd strongly suggest trying a hard reset. This has happened before to one of my RZ1710 pda's. The only solution was to hard reset it. This can be done by pressing the two extreme left and right buttons (The Calander, and Home button) and the reset button on the bottom of your iPaq with the stylus.

Main memory upgrade

I have many a time wanted to increase the main memory in my PDA. Sadly, there is no way to upgrade the main memory (unless you are handy at soldering, regulating voltages, and all that fun stuff). I have seen some web sites that upgraded older Palm's main memory but never an IPAQ (ie. Pocket PC). I suggest removing the older program before installing the newer version. If you have addresses saved in the program, I would first save those to a differnt file so that the uninstall does not delete them. To uninstall the program from the PDA tap the windows button, tap settings, tap the system tab, tap memory, and finally the remove programs link near the bottom of the screen. A list will appear with all the programs loaded on your PDA. Just tap the one you want and then tap remove.
