Question about Fujitsu AMILO Pro V1000 Notebook
The problem sounds like it either has to be with the software, the battery, the modem, the video card or the screen - most likely culprit is the battery (or the charger). The modem, video card and the screen when active are taking much more current than when inactive - (if you are still downloading things while the screensaver is on without a problem then the modem is not the issue) This extra current drawn is pehaps not able to be coped with by the battery, even though it is able to run the basic operations. If a new battery/charger doesn't solve the problem then the screen has to have a fault causing it to draw excessive current - first thought would be to get the connections that lead through the hinge to the monitor checked -they get damaged quite easily and there could be a short - same applies to the video card although this is more likely to completely fail than to work partially. Hope this helps :)
