Htc earpiece not working

Just dropped my phone and now I cant hear anything from the ear piece. Put it in to speaker mode anot is fine.
Is this easily repairable, and how do I get inside the fone.

Does anybody have any links to repair sites, wolud like to repair as this is a great fone.

Thx in advance

The contact for the ear piece is a piece of conductive material (copper?) that bends around the back of the speaker and makes a dry contact with a plate on a PCB.

It's very brittle (as I found out when replacing the screen) and, when you dropped it, you've likely snapped or pushed this connector away from the plate.

After replacing a damaged screen I had the same problem and found out just how brittle this contact can be - hohum, now to find a replacement ear piece

This is how mine goes(with Plantronics PULSAR P590)
1--turn on bluetooth on your phone
2--select hands free
3--select add-(the (phone will start looking for devices)

4--start with earpiece Power OFF
5--then hold call botton and keep it pressed while turning on the device
[the device may flash blue (indicating bluetooth) the phone should then be able to sense the earpiece device and display the device name on the phone screen.]
6-highlight the device on the phone and select [the phone will reply with a pass key code request] enter "0000" end hit select/ok [your earpiece is now added to your phone]
7-your earpiece is now set up. [Ensusure that bluetooth is ON on your phone first] To activate the earpiece in the future turn it on and press the call button. This may help.

I can't hear incoming or out going calls on handset.can only hear on speaker.

The ear piece can be weak defective or dirty, clean the panel to the earpiece and take away dirt with a thin pin. If the sound is not good check the earpiece with a tester, replace if bad.

HTC 8925 Issue w/ Bluetooth setup

In communication choose bluetooth, then tap mode and tick VISIBLE TO ALL. Also you must turn your earpiece to discoverable mode(follow the manual for specific earpiece).

This can happen after a while with this phone (I have one) best bet is to buy a new oem shell which includes all external components including cover, entire phone body in red, black, or white, etc Actually quite cheap only around $15 on eBay.
