Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
Maytag Neptune Series MAH5500BW Washing machine is very loud and shakes during the spin cycle. It does not walk, is level and on a ceramic tile floor. No visible leaks. Apparatus on top of machine where detergent is added shakes during the spin cycle as well. My 6-7 year old Neptune has been very noisy only recently. It sounds as if it is always on "max extract" mode. I wondered about a belt or something. It does not shake and is balanced. So-it may be biting the dust?

very loud in spin cycle can mean a bad rear bearing, not something a homeowner would want to try to replace, parts would exceed 6-7 hundered dollars. you may have some extended part warr through the manufacture. still probly gonna be a 5 hundred when the labor is added in
