Get a Phillips head screwdriver and open up the case. Try to pull it out without damaging your transport or laser lens.

The CD may or may not be scratched up in the process.

Cd gets stuck in recorder makes clicking sound..

I would just guess that the belt that is in the eject mechanism is now stretched- That is if there is a belt. That is very common in all CD player units.

What does "eject error" mean?

Your MD Recorder/Player has a stuck disc or cannot eject it properly. Basically it is not handling the disc safely and it may get snagged or damaged as a result of a physical mechanism which is not working correctly - out of allignment or worn out by people shoving discs into the machine or just plain old age on these units.

On my tascam cc-222MKll it gets stuck reading opc

The door won't open might be a sign that there is a bad belt in the mechanism as the pickup may also be driven or positioned by the same belt- It may need to be looked at by a Technician.

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

1. Unplug unit

2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

3. Plug in unit.

4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

11. Replace the cover.

12. Use a better quality disc.

Cd stuck in drive.will not eject.

Hi ,
There might be a teeny hole beside or very near the cd tray (where the cd ejects from) You may have to open the little flap that hides the sliding drawer part.
Straighten out an ordinary paper clip, and push it firmly into the little hole.
The cd drawer should eject manually. You may have to pull it out carefully when it starts to eject.
Take out cd, and then close the drawer, and then try to eject it the normal way. Sometimes, all it needs it a little help.
I have a HP Pavilion a320n, and this happens to me about every 6 months or so.
Good luck,
Fred
