Do you have Vista 64-bit? You don't say in your post.

If so, and you want to use Flash Player, you'll have to use the Internet Explorer 32-bit version, as opposed to the IE 64-bit. At present, Adobe Flash Player doesn't have a 64-bit version (or so says the Adobe website.) Just type in "Internet Explorer" in the Search box of the Start Menu, and you'll notice two versions. Use the one that doesn't say 64-bit.

If you're using Vista 32-bit, just ignore this post.

If you want to get hard-core about installing, you can disable UAC, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you really know what you're doing with Vista.

This problem is most likely related to a Windows Vista permissions issue. Because Vista has security features to prevent scumbag spammers and spyware from infesting your computer, programs will not automatically install themselves. I have had success by logging into Vista as an administrator, then installing whatever programs I wanted, then logging back in under my normal usage account. Sometimes simply being in the administrator account is not enough, but I hope this gets you in the right direction.

Adobe Flash Player is an add-on on browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. it plays a vital part in playing video clips as it is interpreting the video file to play on the browser. Also you can update to the latest version so that you will be able to watch video clips automatically. One thing that might be the cause of the slow download is your internet connection. You can ask assistance from your Internet Service Provider to check what is the speed of your Internet. You can get the latest Adobe Flash Player from Adobe.com and by clicking on the link on the right part of the page to download the latest version of Flash Player.

Adobe flash player on my Windows Vista is not working. I cannot access YouTube musical video sounds

There is a bug on adobe flash player and there are times that you cant install it on internet explorer 7,so if its ok try to download mozilla firefox and install flash player on mozilla if it works, then its still an ongoing issue on ie7.

Flash video won't play on my Dell laptop that uses Vista. It will not download all they way and typically stops about halfway through

it might be due to software settings or the version of the flash plug in. I suggest you to update your flash player from adobe.com, also you can use alternate browsers such as opera or firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US)

Good Luck
