Worked fine for a long time. Card suddenly stopped working. The metal on the bottom looks scratched like its been put in and taken out too many times. Need solution to get it to work one last time so I can get my pictures off.
First, try to take the "micro" card out of the main body and re-insert. the internal contacts may just be a little bit dirty. (you may want to also GENTLY buff the internal AND external contacts with a SOFT {cotton} emery type of fingernail board or Q-tip with a SMALL amount of rubbing alcohol. {let it get dry before you re-assemble}). try that and see if it works for you.

OK, try this:
go to Wal-Mart or K-Mart and such, you can get a SD reader/ writer (such as Targus, about $9 USD, what I use) and put your SD card into it, then plug into USB (USB 2.0 is current standard, but will work with USB 1.1, just slower). PC will ask if you want to play/ record from/to the removable drive, select which program you want to use OR select "take no action" then go to "my computer" and select the drive letter for the card (E, F, G etc.) open the file folder that you want to put your photos into (I STRONGLY recommend that you COPY FILE(S) and NOT "move file(s)" as that if something crashes you still HAVE the orig. files) select to copy to the correct drive letter and PLEASE remember to "remove hardware safely" or you could KILL the files and or the drive(s) that you were using. (did that TWICE before I realized what I was doing wrong). good luck!

Thanks, but that didn't work.
My SD card was working fine. My daughter was recording video on it and it fell over. Now the camera says it doesn't recognize the file type and my laptop says in disk isn't formatted. It has lots of pictures on it. Can these pictures be saved?
i have the same problem!! it worked fine for months, then one day i put some new songs on it, put it into my phone, and when i went to listen to my music, it wouldn't load. the screen going to the vcast music section stayed blank red for the longest time. i finally had to take my phone battery out and put it back in. when i go to look at my pictures videos and sounds, it takes forever to 'initialize.' i tryed to delete all of my songs sounds videos and pictures but it wouldn't let me delete some of them. i was able to get rid of all my videos on the card, but now i cant get to the videos saved on my phone! what can i do to fix this???
