E-machine running slow

Hey,
I am having problems with my e-machine running slow. I have run a anti-virus check and a malware check (through windows update) on my computer. However, those checks did not indicate any problems on my computer, and my computer is still running slow (tortoise slow).
I am a patient girl but not that patient ! Should I just get a new computer? If so what product do you suggest?

Press Ctrl. + Alt + Del and go to processes, arange them by name so it should show your computer's name and then system for those that are runing from system...
if you see a huge list mainly with the computer's name it means that your runing too much **** in the background... I would recomend you go to your Startmenu, press the "run" button, then inside the text field type in msconfig, after you've done so go to "startup" tab...
once again if you see a lot of checkboxes you may want to consider removing a few of them so that your computer will boot faster and not load useless programs.

Why Google Search Redirects Virus? How to Fix Google Redirecting Virus

Two good software tools can help you to fix the redirecting virus with Google search. One is the registry repairing program and the other is the malware removal tool. With the help of the registry cleaning program the infection is completely removed from the hidden registry entries of the Windows. While the anti-malware detects and removes the infection from the computer. If during search, Google redirects virus and produces undesired web results then follow these instructions:
Step 1:
Download a software to thoroughly repair and clean Windows registry. The Windows registry is an area which contains very sensitive information about all the programs running in the computer. Most of the viruses and malwares also attack the Windows registry. Unfortunately running the anti-virus/anti-malware scans only does not remove the infections from Windows registry.

Step 2:
Download a good malware removal tool and conduct scan through it. The Google search redirect virus is caused by the malwares that shall be removed from the computer. If properly used with the registry cleaning tool, the antimalware can greatly help to fix the Google redirecting virus.

Step 3:

Go to My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Hardware > View > Show Hidden Devices. After this select the option "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" and disable 'TDSSserv.sys'. Don not uninstall it.

The above guidelines have been found to work well. Are you tired of this nuisance and want to have a quick fix to eliminate Google redirecting virus? Here are the tools which are recommended by PC experts to fix search redirect problem:

Use Intel Software Partner, RegInOut and Use Combofix Tool. You shall run RegInOut scan before and after this process if Google redirects virus in your browser.

Dell dimension 2400 pc is extremely slow. did everything i know...delete cookies etc....still extremely slow.

Run your anti virus and anti malware programs. If you do not have a anti malware program go to cnet.com and download a free anti malware program. It sounds as if you have a virus on your computer

My pc is running very slow, meanwhile i still have much memory and 1gb ram, how would i resolve this

There could be several different things causing this. It could be a virus, malware or spyware or something totally different.

Start with the obvious. If you run a virus scan regularly and know you are not infected then miss that out. Next run a spyware/malware scan if you don't have a programme to do this then download install and run malwarebytes you can get it free from here.

Come back if this does not resolve the problem.
