Question about Computers & Internet
Hi there, I was recently given an HP Pavilion dv9000ea notebook with no Operating System on it. I have installed XP Pro & as many drivers as I could find from the HP website & it seems to work perfectly apart from 1 thing. There is still no sound coming from it & I don't know what the problem is. I don't know if it needs a driver for the sound card or something else. I have tried looking for other drivers but nothing has worked.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me.
The dv9000 uses special HiDefinition sound.
1. Download and install kb888111.exe file from
2. Download and install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio
3. Now install Conexant High Definition Audio Driver
It should then recognise the sound card after the kb888111.exe is installed and the rest should then work.
