Motorola Razr V3m randomly/frequently is shutting off..
My Razr V3m basically won't stay on very long any more. It will frequently shut off , lock up ,etc. I've replaced the battery and that's not the issue. I sprayed the battery contacts with De-Oxit and that did nothing. Is there ways to reboot, upgrade software ,etc? I just get errors when trying to check to update software.
Any help to fix the phone will be MUCH appreciated. It's less than 1 1/2 years old , so costs a bunch to replace and no warranty OF COURSE

RAZR v3m is not compatible with T-Mobile, as it is a CDMA phone, used on services such as Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, etc. The v3m is not a GSM phone and does not have a SIM card, and therefore cannot be used on GSM services such as T-Mobile and AT&T (Cingular).
T-Mobile does have a RAZR v3, but it is not a v3m. The v3m is similar to the v3s, which is also a CDMA phone, but adds a micro SD card to store music and photos on.
You may try putting a small, thin piece of b under the battery directly on top of the small metal tab, put the battery back in, see if this pressure is enough to keep your phone on. Sometimes the cell phone deals people are getting on Ebay actually result in more frustration and disappointment.
You may consider cutting your loss and purchasing a new phone, or getting a FREE phone from one of the major carriers.
I highly recommend the following company for getting your next phone, the customer service is excellent and the selection is great. I also recommend folks in getting insurance on their new phones as well. I hope this helps you, best wishes :)
this is an failure or corruption of core software...u might just keep it on charging for a while...then remove the batteries for an hour...then again switch it on with sim...if that works then again do same thin wit sim....if stil then master clear the phone...or take to an moto assist dey'l clear ur phone...
ne other prob's do tell me..N plz do rate me cya
Actually, Im having the same problem. However I can get the SD to work, sometimes. What i do is, with the battery removed, insert the card, of the left side of the card there is a little tab to act as a lock, slide the card to the left, then pull up until the card gets caught on the little lock bar. reinsert your battery, and power on. it may work for you, it may not. That is what I do to get it to work for me. The v3m is the worst model of the Razr I think. not to mention I cannot get it to connect to Bitpim, or P2K. Its junk... hope this works for you.
in the top right corner you are suppose to have a little circular magnet that changes the screen when the phone is open or closed. I just changed my housing yesterday and took the magnet out and put it in my new housing but for some reason i have the same problem as you. so maybe you lost the magnet when you replaced the lcd and if that is the case then you are screwed. try have Motorola fix it, don't tell them you replaced the lcd
The V3m has an inherent flaw with the Sd Micro Memory Card. Installing the card, which fits extremely tight can damage the electrical contacts in the micro chip socket. This can result in low battery life due to a short to metal chassis of phone and not being able to communicate properly with memory chip. I had my first Razr V3m replaced by Sprint after only 2 days of ownership. When I got my new phone I carefully filed the tab on the Sd Micro Chip so insertion and extraction is much easier.
