Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

1 Answer

ITunes won't open

Error message: The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "My Music" folder.
I have two hard drives and recently a service man moved the iTunes to the alternate drive because it was saturating the 'C' drive.

Go to "Preferences" in iTunes and change the music folder location to the location on your new disk drive. Click the boxes as shown below:

You rated my answer as "Thanks for trying"--not a favorable rating--so I assume you actually tried what I suggested and it didn't work.If "yes" then you most likely have a system software or disk problem, not an iTunes problem. If "no" then please try the suggested solution.

You already tried removing and reinstalling iTunes (the program, not the music), right?

How to download music on a iphone 3g?

there are several ways you can download and put music on your iPhone 3G

1.-Purchase songs in iTunes directly on your iPhone (this will cost you money and require you to create an iTunes account,if you download apps, you already have one).

2.-Insert a CD into the computer you plug your iPhone to, open the CD with iTunes, and rip the contents of the disc into iTunes (iTunes has a tutorial for this if you need further information), sync your phone with your iTunes on the computer and the songs will be added to your song library in your phone.

3.-You can use a P2P (peer to peer) sharing program ex. Frostwire, Winamp, eMule, to download the songs onto your computer. Take note of what folder these downloaded songs are being sent to. In iTunes, select File>add folder to library, a window will open, select the file where the downloaded music is located, and iTunes will add it into the music library in iTunes. Sync your phone with iTunes and the downloaded songs will be added to the music library on your phone

Hi my iphone is not updating in itunes, its giving a network error halfway through update

You have not specified the exact error given, but there are several solutions that I have found work for this problem in general.

    1. If you have recently created any Voice Memo recordings with the native iPhone app, save them to your computer manually in a folder (not in iTunes). Next delete them from your iPhone and from your itunes library. Now try syncing/updating again.

    2. If the above doesn't work, try closing iTunes and reopening.

    3. Restart iPhone, attempt sync.

I just had this problem and it turned out to be... It didn't like my iPod cable. Switched to the iPhone cable and it worked.
Seems to be an iPhone 2.0 prob, or 3g prob, since I was using the iPod cable to sync my old iPhone just fine.
