Issue with Samsung LE32B450. After the TV has been on for about 5 minutes, when you change channel the screen goes blank and the sound goes off. However, the TV is still on as pressing the power but

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset.

Look for loose contacts in power outlet, RC Jacks, sockets, cables. Change input device to some other like a DVD that you are sure works. Swith off TV, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

Did you check the service manual troubleshooting guide yet. You can try disconnecting the power to the inverter board and see if it will stay on and have sound.

I have a philips 37" flat screen TV, when I switch

hi,
There is problem with the back light of your tv. In LCD tvs CCFL are used as back light to give light to independant pixels. CCLF lamps required high voltage to light. This high voltage is provided by the inverter board inside ths tv. If any one of the chopper transformer (high voltage transformer) have some problem then the inverter will shuts off itself preventing damges to the power supply.

You have to check the 24V from the power supply. If its ok the you have to check the inverter board.if avilabe replace the same. if you are not able to do the same i will prefer to consult some one experienced in it. Back light inverter board will look like one in the picture.

37PF9731D/10 - when turned on the tv power light remains green but no picture or sound. Just a clicking sound - like it does normally when swiching on from being on standbay. It reapts the attempt to turn...

The clicking sound is from the main power supply relay being turning on and off, it is driven by hte main board and it gets the power from the standby power supply board.
You need to check the main powwer supply board and the standby power supply board voltages.
Check the resistor in the main power supply board also

Hi there. i have the closest model, to LE-32B450C. Samsung LE-32C450. i guess..its europe model (im from greece). I bought the 32' TV a couple weeks back.. and now im messing with a shut down problem....

I have a few friends in the UK with the very same TV and no problem at all.
I would suspect either a power supply fault or a bad connection somewhere and I would return it for a replacement.
