It's a error message with Windows installer not for Itune.

Extract the files into a folder, you will get all the .msi files by right clicking and click extract files..., then right click at iTunes.msi and then extract that in the same folder, then open the iTunes.msi, it should install. It is a problem with the windows installer, they are extracted by windows installer to the Temp folder and it just confuses itself.

To extract, you must have 7-zip

How to modify windows vista to be able to install itunes. I keep getting errors saying my system has not been modified to complete installation

You didn't mention the Make, Model of computer or what OS you have? 32 or 64bit version? You can find new and old versions 32 and 64 bit here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes_32/, The 64 bit version is under RELATED DOWNLOADS.

When trying to download itunes keep getting a report that says ''windows installer encountered errors and can not configure itunes.'' I am using a 64 bit PC with Windows Vista Home Premium. Thanks.

It means that the installer you downloaded is not compatible with the version of Windows you're trying to install it to. Make sure to visit iTunes.com and select the right installer for it to work.

Ive tried downloading itunes but it keeps on saying some error has occured and when it does download it says itunes has encountered an error so they need to close

iTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best result, turn off compatibility mode of iTunes before you open it.

2. Click Start, type regedit, then press Enter.
3. Navigate to this Registry location:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
4; Its better you clean/repair Windows registry with RegInOut.
4. Look in the main pane for a key that refers to iTunes. If you find one, delete it, then exit the Registry.
5. Start iTunes. The offending message should be gone!

My computer keeps coming up error 2328 when i go to down load itune how would i get rid of it thank you :)))

If the error code appears during the installation, then your PC's memory might not be large enough. You said a package in the question. Is that a package you specifically bought from a store? If so, contact the location you bought it from. If it's a download or upgrade, then try going onto Google, typing in iTunes 9 Download, and see if that works.

The actual error code 2328 means there was an error getting file version info for file.
Hope I helped!

This solution worked for another person trying to do the same thing.
I hope it helps you.
Go to add or remove programs in the control panel, on Windows 7, just go to start, control panel, and then uninstall a program. Find Apple Software Update on the list, and click on repair. Once that is done, try to download iTunes again and it should work.

Keep getting error code 11222 when trying to access itunes store- have uninstalled and reinstalled but still comes up with error code and says not authorised

Hello,

I have a couple suggestions for you.

First and foremost - make sure itunes can reach the internet. You need to double check that your firewall is not blocking it - if you can check the exceptions in your firewall make sure itunes is one of the unblocked programs. Otherwise, disable your firewall and then try itunes. (PUT IT BACK ON AGAIN AFTER)

Second - there could be a registry issue - Running ccleaner might solve this error - http://www.ccleaner.com/ see if that helps.

Ipod not recognized by computer or itunes

For it to recongnize, maybe try:
1: go to control panel
2:add hardware
3:connect your hardware device and click "yes i have connected the hardware"
4:scroll down and select install new hardware device
5:select install hardware that i manually select from a list
6:scroll down to windows portable devices
7:and choose MTP device
this should make it so your ipod is now recognised by the computer
