Computer freezes When I'm on the Internet - going from email to home - the computer freezes. I tried a warm boot - no effect. I turn the whole system off - reboot after 15 seconds. Computer reboots - then there is an error message - summary of message: C; FAT32. Volume Serial #COE A - F855. The freezing is becoming more frequent. Thanks

My system will not boot up.

It means that your computer starts up and freezes before it boots up. Please do the following:-
1. At boot up press F8 and select "Last Good Boot Up" or words to that effect. 2. It will restore to a date when your computer was booting up fine. 3. Try and remember what you installed that caused this problem. Do not install it again. 4. If this does not solve your problem then reinstall Windows.

Why does my internet freeze? what can I do

If your computer as a whole is freezing, then you have to check for viruses / malware.
But, if it is only your internet that freezes up, then try resetting your Internet Explorer.
I am presuming that you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8, as your browser.
To reset Internet Explorer (IE) :-
1. Open Internet Explorer .
2. Click Tools, and then click Delete Browsing History.
3. In Delete Browsing History, click Delete All.
4. Click to select the Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons
check box, and then click OK.
5. Switch to the Security tab.
6. Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.
7. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
8. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
9. When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click
Close, and then click OK .
10. Uncheck Enable third-party browser extensions option in the Settings box
11. Close Internet Explorer . The changes take effect the next time that
you open Internet Explorer .
Try to reset IE, as explained above.
Even after resetting IE, if IE still freezes, then there may be some viruses / malware on your computer.

Trying to send an email with pictures but it freezes every time i try and send

Have you tried sending an email using different computer? Most of the time, internet connection and internet browser are the common cause of system freeze up when sending an email.

Try to access your email in a different computer that is connected to a different network. If you're not able to duplicate the problem on different computer, then the problem has something to do with the computer that you are using.

Contact your ISP to verify if there's any issues with the internet connection. Or clear the cookies, internet files, and browsing history of your browser.

But if the same problem occur while using different computer, you must check the file size of the picture that you are trying to send. Most email provider could support attachments that has 32MB, 50MB, 1GB attachment. But it will depend on your email provider.

Thank you and good luck!

Hi. I am a computer expert, and i will help you.

What you kight want to do is take your computer back to the store that you bought it from. If you still have the warranty, then they should be able to send it to a repair company and you will have it back in at lease 2 weeks.

Every time I log in my computer freeze

When booting up press F8 and boot in safe mode then run MSCONFIG and make sure your computer turns on running only basic programs. It could be you have a program running that is causing it to freeze as soon as you boot up. If it still freezes in safe mode you might need to repair windows using the original CD.

Windows XP Freezing

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I answer to your questions:

1. No, I have not recently installed new RAM
2. I have just made my laptop freeze so I could check the event viewer to see if anything came up - butno error is reported in the system, application or security logs. (PS: to cause the freeze I opened up My Pictures, right clicked on and image, clicked open. The image opened in picture viewer. I closed picture view without any problems but once I closed the My Pics folder the computer froze.)

Thanks
