I was looking at getting 2 jl 500.1 amps but i will only be able to afford to buy one at a time will one of these amps power one of my subs. or could i even power both of them with one what other amps would power one or both of them i would prefer to get one big one but the jl 1000.1 is so expencive i cant get my hands on one used cheap. i had a RF power series 1500.1 pushing them both but i think i threw the power supply any help would be appreciated
This guy know jl amps are ONLY 1.5 - 4 ohm stable? won`t 1 ohm send amp into protection with thermal indicator lit up like the northern star?

SOURCE: i want to know the best subwoofer wiring diagram
if the amp has a 2 outputs then i would wire the two 4ohms together, and the 2ohm by itself. and if its a 4 channel output then wire them all sepretly, if its a 1 channel output then wire the two 4ohms together and leave the 2ohm sub out
SOURCE: Need help.. I have two 12 inch dual voice coil
To do this they MUST be wired in parallel, IE: Plus to Plus, Negative to Negative. 2 4 OHMS in parallel is about 2 OHMS in series it would be 8 OHMS... series is positive to negative. Are you using a crossover network?

Okay. You can either one both subs together and produce a 2 ohm (1 amp) load or run them separate with each wired down to 1 ohm (2 amps)Based on the what you said, it sounds that you have a limited budget. I need to know what your budget would is to properly help you.
