Hello,

The typical cause of power up problems in a failure of the power supply filter capacitors. The board can be repaired by replacing the bad components. Below is a picture of the power supply board with the bad capacitors circled and below that is a link to a it that is available with the correct parts to rebuild that board.

Capacitors kit: http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommerce.com/Default.aspx he can make you a set of caps.
Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Start with the obvious. Is your TV plugged in? If it is on a power strip, does the strip need reset? If all is normal there, then unplug the set and take the back off. Check your fuse to see if it is blown.

this is a easy fix. some small pieces of lead into the front of the screen will take care of the problem . in other words go in the closet and get the darn shootgun and blow the hell out of it!!!!!!!!!!!
