How come people can't hear me from my headset?

Volume only has to do with the sound level you hear.

The only thing that affects the sound the other ends hears is the microphone, Have you tried moving the mic? Has the headset ever worked properly?

If the other end hears you at all, then the headset SHOULD NOT be muted, but it's worth checking out. They put the mute switch on the underside of the boom mic and sometimes people hit the switch by mistake when moving the boom.

Hummm, we would kind of need to know WHAT you are using, so I guess Skype. Try turning off auto gain on your microphone.

Sound plays on my system but i dont hear it at all.my windows

Let's start by checking
  1. Your speakers are plugged into the green connector on the computer
  2. Speakers have power, are turned on, and volume is up
  3. Check your "speaker" icon on your tray (lower right hand corner of desktop) - to make sure volume is up and not muted.

My Chatmate don't hear me But I can hear him

Check your Microphone Volume. To do that go to All Program > Accessory > Entertainment > Volume Control > Options > Properties > Tick on Mic Volume > OK
Then you will see Volume control uncheck the MUTE and rise up the volume. If this dont fix then you need to check your hardware like your mic.
Best Luck!

Sound gone

disconnect everything in the back of the unit. reconnect only the cd to the imputs. also, just to be sure, disconnect all speakers(label them). fire it up,play a CD, connect the speakers 1 at a time. If the 1st works you have hope ,if not, try each channel individualy. The one that reduces volume is the problem-maybe shorted cable, bad speaker,or , God forbid-Bad amp Channel. good luck
