Pop off front speaker grille, there are 1/4" hex screws holding the screen on, and a connector that needs to be disconnected first. The 1/4" hex screws in the back and sides along the mid section also need to be removed, then the entire top lifts off - be careful, the screen separates from the black plastic part (you might want to lift off the front screen first, that way you can be sure you have all the screws removed.) There was the black power section that was screwed in that needed to be wiggled off first, then the top just slides off easily. Easy to clean and reinstall by putting the black part on first, then sliding the screen up, over, then down onto the black plastic part. Replace all screws and reconnect the connector.

Need to remove front screen from toshiba TP50G50

There is a way to remove entire front screen with the frame----BUT there is a easier way to do this.

With set unplugged remove rear cover---wipe the lens you see there first--light source for picture. With a Swiffer type duster carefully reach up and in and get all the webs out.

Use no force if up against the inside of the screens as that may scratch them---much faster, safer, and easier than removing screen unit from front and avoids possible damage.

Remove tv screen from hitachi projection tv

The entire screen unit can be removed but first remove rear cover and look at the lens--clean with a lens cloth etc----peek up inside and look at the mirror--if not dirty or smudged just clean the lens.

removing the screen with its frame can be tricky--easy to damage the screens etc. Removal usually requires front speaker grill to be removed first---most just pull off but a few are secured from rear by some screws.

With it off look to see if at bottom of screen there are a row of screws--if the entire front unit can be removed it will pull out at bottom and be snapped in place.

A better suggestion is look at rear of set above back cover--if the upper part is plastic--it with the back removed can also be removed--careful as mirror is bolted into it---that way you can clean the mirror and get at the lens for the tubes without trying to remove screen unit--some of the smaller sets this is the ONLY way to get at the mirror.

Yes a number of screws but if plastic upper rear comes out with mirror much easier and safer way.

How to remove screen protector from a hitachi 50ux52b

The entire screen comes off from the front.

Remove front speaker grill (should pull off)

Behind it at the bottom of the screen are a row of screws that secure the screen with frame to the cabinet.

the entire unit pulls out (bottom right and left first) and when free lifts up to pull off.

With the entire frame and screens off--you have to take the inner screens out first---careful to note which is facing forward and upwards---you can put them in backwards or upside down--will not work right.

Most of the Hitachi's the two inner screens are taped together along the edges but if not you have to be real CAREFUL- THE thin outer one is easily shattered or damaged.

You may have to take the frame apart to get the other (outer one) out as it is usually in a slot or track.

Screens have to go back in at exactly same direction and position as when you started.

The inner ones usually are held in place with strips of plastic or metal secured with screws--careful not to strip the holes out with a screw gun.

Clear one is (outer) only protective but does have an anti-glare coating so that can be an issue--picture will be brighter.

My screen was damaged and I finally found a new screen for it. How do I get the molding off so I can replace the screen?

You need to remove the two strips one on top and one on bottom of the plastic frame on the front of your tv. They can be easily flip up with a small screw driver. After removing the strip, you will see screws that hold the frame to the TV set, remove all of them then take the metal strip off. remove the frame, the protective cover, then remove the screen. The mirror then need to be sit on the slot of the back cover then hold it with the 3 brackets on the top on the inside of the rear cover.

Cob webs behind screen

The frame around the screen just pops off. Unscrew the plastic holders from the chassis frame and the screen will come off allowing you to clean everything inside easily. The "2" thin screens are easily cleaned and put back on easily also. Don't do what I did and think the screens go into the front slot of your plastic brace, they slide easily into the wider slot. You'll also be able to clean the dust from the reflector and guns with Windex. Much better picture after wards, trust me. You would be surprised how much dust may have accumulated on the lenses.

Need to disassemble Mitsubishi VS-6041 60 in Rear Projection

Wow, You are asking for a complete disasemmbly. If this is necessary, you have to remove any screws you can find that are connected to the front panel. Usually they are in the top of the set ( you'll find them after removing the mirror panel and mirror ). I wouldn't remove any tubes as the tube convergence would have to be all reset and that would require a cross hair generator. I do hope this has helped in some way, but all I can do is send you my best wishes as I certainaly don't suggest disassembly if there is any other way. Good luck

Help me

you can remove the protector and the tv will work fine, they all come off a little differently however. I would start with removing the speaker grille and see if there are screws along the bottom of the screen frame. If so you can probably remove them and lift up un the entire frame it will be on hangers mounted on the sides. Once you get the frame off you will see how the screens are mounted inside with brackets. If not, some of the RCA's you would actually remove the wooden top of the TV and slide the screens out from the top. In this case you will see two things. 1) a couple of screws near the top of the TV on the sides possible hidden with a plastic screw cover. 2) on the back of the TV at the top you will see two metal tabs/slots that almost look like hinges. Remove the screws and lift the top from the front and it will pivit out of the tabs on the back. Then you have your screens exposed on the top and slide them out. Good luck!

Front panel removal instructions for

You have to remove the back bottom skirt from television in order to get to the screws for the front bottom panel. When the front bottom panel is removed there will be more screws visible, for front screen. After an afternoon of trying to get it apart, just to clean the mirror on ours, we finally got it.
