Why won't my Honda HRX217VLA lawn mower start

Hi Duane:
I'd be thinking that it's possible that the alignment key on the flywheel has sheared. That will throw the timing out and it can't run.
Fix is pretty straightforward.
Disconnect and remove pieces until you have the flywheel exposed. Loosen the nut. Lift on the flywheel and smack down on the nut with a plastic mallett to loosen the flywheel. Then remove the nut and flywheel. Replace the key (get replacement ant any lawnmower or chainsaw service shop)
Put it back together and it should run just fine.
Cheers.

Engine runs fine head doesn`t spin as engine revs

if it is a bent shaft then the cable is broken in the tube
if a straight shaft then a couple of possible items
the square drives on the end of the shaft is rounded out or the clutch is not expanding as required ( same for bent shaft)

I just bought an led light set for my new diamondback bike. Which is fine except I don't know how to attach it to the bike the pieces that came with it only attach together. Am I missing something?

If you feel pieces are missing, return the unit and get a new one. Aside from that, you would have to improvise a fastener to attach to the frame or handlebars. 7_16_2013_10_17_55_pm.jpg

What shape are the brushes in on the motor? If the copper wire is discolored that indicates over current. The armature may have a shorted winding after an extended overheat condition. You may get lucky by just cleaning the surface of the armature where the brush contacts it.

The powerhead on my Hoover Duros will not keep running. If I push the on/off switch it will come back on sometimes, other times when I push it it turns the whole thing off as its supposed to do.

I just had the same problem with my hoover duros, the vacuum was running fine but the powerhead kept going off. I would make a sweep with it and powerhead would be running and then next sweep powerhead would shut off. I had tried checking connection and belt, etc. I thought it was the powerhead. But then I found the problem. On the duros there are 2 pieces of wands that hook powerhead to hose on canister. They both connected and clicked in fine but I decided to check them separately. I hooked just one piece to hose and powerhead and then turned it on and then I did the other piece. ta-dah! that's what it was...it was only one section of the wand. When I hooked them up separately, one piece the powerhead worked totally fine and vacuumed like normal. When I removed that piece of wand and tried the second piece (actually the bottom section when both are hooked together) the powerhead did not work at all. So I just need to get a new section of wand. Hope this helps!

What does an F7 mean

Hi, "F7" code means that the drain is blocked. To remove items from the drain:
  1. Turn power to unit off.
  2. Remove the "Coarse Filter" by squeezing the tabs together and lifting out.
  3. Remove the "Fine Filter" and "Main Filter" by removing the screws around the filters and lifting them out.
  4. Remove the small black adapter piece and check the sump area for debris.
  5. Wash the filters out gently with hot, soapy water. DO NOT RUN THE UNIT WITHOUT THE FILTERS IN PLACE!.
  6. Replace the black adapter piece to its original position FIRST (Important!).
  7. Replace the filters in reverse order of removal and turn the unit back on. The error code should reset and work normally.

*In areas with hard-water, the filters should be removed every 8-12 months and submerged in a chemical solution (CLR or LimeAway) to remove mineral deposits.

Button from laptop pulled off..need quick fix!!!!!!

The pieces snap into place if you place them correctly on the keyboard and press down until you hear them click together. You may need to pry one off to see the orientation of the white plastic piece that goes on first. Lay the piece like the one you just looked at and firmly press the key evenly on top of it until you hear the click sound. You may have to rock it a little to get it to fully engage. If it sticks down, take a paper click and gently pry it up and it should work fine.

Crank shaft belt pully not turning ,engine runs fine,

Hello Gordon.
Haven't seen that happen for a while.
The harmonic balancer on your car has two pieces joined together by bonded rubber to reduce vibration. The rubber has let go and is spinning on itself.
You need to replace the balancer.
