TV issue The problem with my TV is I can turn it on but nothing will work besides that the remote and the TV's power button work but nothing else. The channel changer and the volume won't respond on the manual buttons and the only button on the remote that works is the power button.

Re: TV issue

Several on-line review sites discuss this problem. The main board in the TV is defective. Either return it to WalMart or contact the manufacturer.

Re: TV issue

First you should open the set and make sure that the cables are seated properly, could be a loose or pinched cable

My tv [vizio vf550m] won't respond to a remote.

Vizio is famous for having main board issues. If you have replaced the IR board the only two other items it could be is a broken wire from the IR to main or the main board has an issue. Nothing else can stop the remote from working provided the remote is working properly.

JVC tv stuck one channe

I would either call JVC to see if known issue or to inquire if set has a lockout feature that kills remote and all button features----other possible reason in main board with all micro functions has a problem.

No response to any button on remote or tv except power button

Press the 'Favorite' button on the remote. You may have accidentally pressed it. It locks the channel. Pressing again unlocks.

ESA 42' plasma turned off on it's own and won't turn back on.

I think, when a power supply's time is up, it's up now. There is not usually any advance warning,(besides your warranty has expired of course). If you are feeling un-normal heat from the TV, that is a sign the power board just fried out. They always get very hot, from the microchips cooking themselves until there is nothing left to need power. Plan on paying a TV tech to replace your power board.

TH-42PX77U wont turn on with remote....?

Panasonic uses the flashing of the power LED as a guide for trouble shooting their sets when no image is visible. So if the power LED blinks 3 times then the D board is defective. Basically its the main control board. It needs to be serviced.
