The securilock system is not responding

Never have had any problems before. 2001 Ford F-150. Parked it today inside. Went back out 4 hours later and noticed the head lamps blinking. The alarm had not been activated. I did nothing with the battery(no Jumps). I tried to lock and unlock the doors with no response. I can turn the key but it wont do anything. It's gotme locked out. I tried both of the transmiters. Any ideas I tried to activate it per owners manual no help.

I have a 2002 ford escape with the securilock system. I also have a viper 5501 remote starter installed. when the viper remote was installed they put some kind of bypass on my ford keys so the remote starter would work without interfering with the ford security system (supposedly). Well, recently, my remote starter stopped starting the vehicle on. The Ford key would still work, but now all of a sudden the remote won't work and it seems my escape is stuck in this anti-theft mode and even using the key won't turn it on. I think the bypass thing on the key isn't working and has somehow cause the ford anti theft system to kick in. Do you know how I can reset the ford anti theft system so I can get my car started?

Are bi-directional remote star ts ok im thinking off putting it on my vehichle I heard bad things about it

This depends on the brand you are installing. I didn;t like them at first but a 2 way system is way better. It actually lets you know what is going on with your vehicle. I would recomment Auto Start TS-2471 easy to install and program and they work very well with few problems.

your starter wire is red with light blue, If it was me I would double check all your wires or have a freind, sometimes you overlook things, ther is no rest for the securlock other than dissconect the neg terminal on the battery for 30 sec with the door open

1998 Ford Explorer. Won't start, just clicks, with new battery.

check that the cabling going to the starter is ok. and the ground to the frame and the engine block.the other thing is that it is possible the starter has a "dead spot" in it.have someone turn the key to start and bang on the starter with a hammer .not too hard.the starter on ford starters usually have a solenoid and it is possible that is no good either...
cheers ed

Remote start (posibly)

Your battery is almost certainly flat.

When you start the engine, the starter motor takes a large bite of power out of the battery. It takes a long time to put that power back.

So, you tried to start with remote start and it did'nt fire up. This took a big bite.
Then you started manually. This took another big bite.

The engine started though, and the alternator began the mamoth task of putting two start attempts worth of power back into the battery.

After 5 minuites, you interupted the alternator and switched off.

Now the battery will be really ill!

You really need to get a jump start from a vehicle with a battery which is about as big as yours.

Connect the leads from the good battery to yours, making sure that the donor vehicle is running. Then walk away and have a coffee. Come back and try your truck again. It should start ok.

If your battery has done this even once, can it be trusted again? If its more than 3 years old, get a new one fitted.

Hope this helps!

Ford Bi Directional Remote Start

Hi there, I know someone who had the same problem, and it turns out that the keyfob battery was a little low for some reason straight out of the box.  They tried replacing the battery and it works much better now.  Hope it works that way for you too!
