Once the water fills up and the water starts to spray it sounds funny almost like there is water in teh line. I opened it numerous times to make sure it wasn't something floating in the bottom or dishes hitting. It's defiinitely in the mechanics. Just as I am typing it is adding a new sound. Sounds like a paper shredder. Vibrating the whole floor. This is supposed to be the quiet model! It's only a year old! UGHH

Re: Funny sound during water spraying
Hi i am not to familiar wit this product but to me it sounds like the wash pump maybe faulty? Have a look underneath if you can and see if there is any water or parts laying on the floor. We might then be able to solve the problem...

Hi frustrated in Raleigh,
I understand that the spray arms are not moving or spraying water, even after you have cleaned the screens and arms. What might be happening is you are not getting enough water pressure to the dishwasher.
The hot water line to your dishwasher must provide water pressure between 20 and 120 psi.
Low water pressure may occur when laundry or showers are in operation.
Wait until water use is reduced before starting dishwasher.
If you are still noticing that the spray arms are not moving or spraying water, I would have a local Authorized Technician come out to see what exactly is going on with the spray arms of your dishwasher.
Check the drain hose... it sounds like it has fallen down too low and is not looped high enough to keep the water in the tub....this will let the water drain right out as it fills like you are saying...
it sounds like your machine is over filling. the gasket is not supposed to be under water. check the overflow float inside. it looks like a little hat or cone. it should move freely up and down. if it is stuck down, your machine will fill up too far and then leak. good luck
sound like plugged spray arms or not proper water fill when the starts is there proper water in the tub if so cancel it and start again if the valve fails to fill again at least 3 times in a row then the valve is bad and the winding make contact after it cool once for one fill and fails through out the normal wash cyc
start the unit and open the door after abt 3 mins and look for water inside.if water is there and u dont hear water spray sound when running but only a low humming sound the motor is bad.if there is no water then chk for anything stuck under the water float.if that is ok then there is problem with fill valve.
Water from the wash arms must be able to reach the detergent cup during the wash. It sounds as though the machine may be over-loaded during the wash and water does not cause the detergent to mix with the wash tank water. Try washing a cycle with nothing in the machine. Does the detergent still stick to the door?
If no, the machine is overloaded. Wash fewer items or smaller items so spray will contact detergent.
If yes, you have probably lost wash pressure. Clean all screens and jets.
Hope this helps,
Nothing by the sound of it. The humming may mean the main pump is stuck. If you are able, remove the pump & turn the impellor by hand (or screwdriver) just to make sure its free moving. Put it back into machine & see what you get. Could also mean that the capacitor on the main pump (if it is a capacitor start motor) has failed.
