With tennis you need to have two players on each side.  You can set your doubles partner if you want to go one on one with someone.  They would have to do the same.  You can change the player selection by choosing two players to start the games and when it show the players for each side use your wii remote to select what players you want on each side of the court.

How to Choose Between an Xbox 360 and a Wii Gaming System?

Age of player may be a consideration. Wii is more about activity so you have a lot of games that require movement like tennis , sports, bowling, golf. The controller senses your movement

I just got rid of my Wii system it suited my children when they were younger but now waiting till November 2016 for the latest release of the new model of PS4 Ultrathin with 1 Tb of hard disk.

Wii game that has color distortion and lines when playing after one hour.

This is a classic glitch. This is most likely caused by your Wii being old/ out of date, because sometimes when video games become really old and out of date, they start glitching and weird things happen. This is a perfect example. You may not be able to fix this problem, but hey, nothing's impossible.
Except a lot of things...

The skill level won't change

Everytime you win a tennis match, your skill level will go up. The higher the skill/the strength of your wins will determine what skill level you face next. Bowling skill ranks are determined on how well you do in each game. Once you reach PRO, you get a sparkling ball. Keep trying at both Tennis and Bowling and you should see your skill rating start to rise. Good Luck!

Wii fit and other disks wont load

Sure! I still have my manual! But, P.s. you can go to Nintendo.com and click support at the top of the screen to further direct you in the future to troubleshooting issues! ;) Ok, under SYSTEM UNABLE TO READ DIS OR GAME DISC WILL NOT OPPERAT IN CONSOLE: it mentions to remind you that disc do not play automatically, that you must go to the disc channel to play. Also, make sure that the disc is inserted correctly. Label side to the right. Be sure disc is clean and in good condition. If dirty, wipe fron center to outer side of disc, not in circular motion. Eject disc and turn power off. Then try again. Check that your disc is meant to be palyed on your regions game system. These are all from the manual. So, if these solutions do not work, try accessing the troubleshooting from the website as I mentioned. Hope you get it figured out! Please leave me a great rating if I've helped! :)
