Re: how do i download songs from my directv to my...
Do you have a separate Internet Service Provider or does Direct TV provides the internet access ? Songs from Direct TV are usually of different format and compression so I doubt that it can be downloaded to your computer even wirelessly

Jun 20, 2013 - Learn how easily you can set up DirectTV in your RV. ... You also have a permanently installed satellite dish at your house, probably ... The trick to making your system portable is to bring the box and a second dish on a tripod, ... First, set up your tripod so the mast is perpendicular - use a torpedo level for ...
searching for satellite signal means its not getting a connection between the satellite and the receiver itself. you can check on the back of the receiver where the satellite cables comes in, unplug the satellite cable make sure there is a copper pin sticking striaght up there to make sure its getting a good connection. also if you know where your splitter is, it has a few lines coming in and a few coming out, its somewhere between the dish and the receivers. usually in an attic or basement, or it could be at the dish itself. make sure those lines are tight, no cracks or breaks in the lines. also if your dish is easily accessible check the connections at the dish to make sure none of them have come undone or loose.
your locals may be broadcasted on a a different satellite (directv uses 7 different ones). when u travel, your dish on your rv might be capable of receiving the satellite that broadcasts normal programming. the dish on your home may look a little different and picks up more than one of the satellite signals. also these satellites are in different locations
I guess the obvious question is, do you have a DirecTV dish installed on your house? If you do, then most likely the cable you have plugged into the Satellite Input on the back of the receiver isn't connected to the dish. I would recommend calling DirecTV and having them send a tech out to double check the system.
Signal issue generally refers to the satellite dish being out of alignment. If you have a single LNB, (one knob on your dish) you can reaim it with two people, on inside telling you your strength and you aiming the dish. If you have more LNB's, the easiest way is with a satellite signal meter, which can be expensive.
Vizio recommends using code 11758 or 10178 for Cable/Satellite universal remotes that use five digits such as DirecTV. For four digit Cable/Satellite universal remotes , use 1758 or 0178. For three digit Cable/Satellite universal remotes, such as Dish or Echostar, use 627. These codes typically make the Power, Volume and Mute functions work.
