Question about Gateway FPD1975W 19" LCD Monitor
It should be a power unit problem.
I had a same problem right after the 1 year warranty is expired and fixed it by myself.
I found 3 broken capacitors in a high temperture area on the power unit PCB and replaced them.
So far it is working good.
I think this is a defect of design of the power unit.
