Is the password reqested as you power up the laptop or does it request a user password to login to Vista?
If it is a power up login then it is near impossible to crack, try various names, pets, kid's names, family names/places, street names etc. There are no back door passwords and the password is not stored in the BIOS and removing the BIOS battery won't work.
The password is stored on an EEPROM chip and you need electronic knowledge to build an EEPROM reader, pull your laptop apart, solder the reader to your laptop, connect the reader's connector to a working computer, and run a program to read the contents of the EEPROM, identify the password from the downloaded data, unsolder the reader, put the laptop back together, boot up and insert the password. You can now enter the BIOS and change the password or remove it. For further info goto
If the login is a user password it is easier to remove, there ae Linux boot programs on the WEB that can reset/remove Windows passwords such as Password Recover. Download and copy to a CD and boot up from the CD.

This is a very hard solution because you MUST have electronics and soldering skills to perform it. There is a VERY EASEY solution for this model.
you CANT erase this password just by removing rtc battery, you have to get a master password based on the hash code .
The hash code appears after entering 3 wrong passwords it has a 5 digit format "xxxxx", you can get your laptop unlocked at Laptop Rebirth

You can start it in safe mode pressing the F8 key...it change between brands but must out there use f8... when you start in "safe mode" in the log in screen you will find your user name and the administrator one...normally the administrator don't have password, so you can log into it and there you have the permission to delete other users passwords...
If you don't found that option, there is an other option but you need to download it and burn it in a cd... Is called ERD Commander here is the link for it: http://rapidshare.com/files/113560492/ERD.Commander.2008.CrOwN.rar... the password for decompress it is:( munda ) when you have burned it, insert it in you cd drive> go to your computer bios>select boot priority>change it for boot from cd first...once you have done that press f10 and select the option yes to save your settings and restart your pc....then your computer will start with a wizard looking like windows xp...complete all the things that it request...when finally boots up>go to start menua and select system tools>locksmith and delete all the passwords that you want...that's it! restart without the cd in the drive and log in! "Hope it works for you"
