Question about Fisher and Paykel GWL11 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Bad order during final rinse

We have a top loading fisher paykel intuitive eco washer and this problem just started happening that during the final rinse there is a bad odor. We have taken it apart and there is no residue build up or mold on any parts we can see. Also did a fosforus rinse to clean it out internally, but it still is happening? We do about 2-4 loads a week, mostly cold in the past and it is about 1.5 yrs old. Any help would be great

The top load f/p washer is a "high efficiency" unit and has to be used with "HE" type soap. it is a non-sudsing soap and if you are using low or regular soap then the residues are not rinsing out causing the odors. they do make a special cleaning tablet called "affresh" it is designed to clean out any residues caused by your using too much or the wrong type of soap.
you can also run a cup of bleach on the longest cycle with hot water and see if thats helps too.

Fisher Paykel Intuitive Eco Washer is squealing

You need to pull out the washer, TURN OFF THE WATER, then take the water hoses off the back of the washer. Check the screens inside the water inlets for debris. If that doesn't fix the problem you may need to ask fisher paykel if it's safe to put a chemical like limeaway in those holes to remove hard water deposits that have built up inside the valves.

Fisher & Paykel Intuitive Eco switching itself off during cycle.

Could be a bad drain pump or controller or rotor position sensor. You will need a Tech to take a look. Unfortunately with these machines there can be many reasons for a failure. Call F/P to get a certified technician out there.

Our washer did the same but it was after I took the excess drain hose and pushed it into the drain in the wall. I thought it looked "more tidy" In doing so I created a siphon effect. Once I pulled the excess hose back out it was fine.

Intuitive eco Iw811 Rinse 1 no water coming thru!

the 1st rinse light is normally set to "spray rinse", this means the machine will pump out the water, spin at medium speed then pulse cold water into the machine, this occurs for about 2 mins, then the machine will spin out, and advance for the final rinse which is a deep rinse.
