try that:
- Power on (with no disc inserted)
- Press PAUSE
- Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9
- Enter the desired RC
- Press PAUSE
- Turn the player off and wait a few seconds
- VCD playback
- Press PAUSE, 1, 4, 7, 2
- Press UP 6 times, '07 00' should appear on the display
- Press Program 6, Program 5 ('07 FE' should be displayed)
- Press ENTER
- Press RETURN
- Power off and on again
