Pictures Becomes white (Excess Exposer or ISO)

I've a Kodak Easy share DX 4530 camera. I've been using it for two years. recently, when I took pictures with it.. every pictures becomes white in outdoor in Auto Mode. In this regard, kindly note, before taking the picture, the camera display shows the correct view with accurate exposer. but after taking the shot, I found that the pictures is shot with high exposer and everything is whitten, where as I manually din't change the exposer level (+/- 0.00) or Long Exposer Level.

Kindly help me out.

Thanks for the help. I found the light sensor is malfunctioning. I've reset the composer. But, It's giving the same output. The picture becomes white after the shot. For example, If i take the picture in any dark place then it produces good pictures.

May be the light sensor is not clean.. Is their any way to clean it? Should i open the camera? please suggest.

    Thanks once again

I'm not clear about your last sentence. It sounds like you may have accidentally set the camera to use exposure compensation to over-expose the images. To reset this, see page 27 in your user manual. If you don't have the user manual you can download it here from Kodak. If you said in your last sentence that this is not the case, I apologize for not understanding you clearly.

If this is not the case, then the light meter in the camera may be malfunctioning, telling the camera that it doesn't have enough light.

1) Make sure the light sensor is clean. This is the lower of the 2 small light buttons on the front of the camera, to the left of the lens as you face the camera. If that doesn't help try:

2) Use a - setting in Exposure Compensation to under expose the images to compensate for the damaged light meter.

If neither of these help, then it needs to be sent in for repair, or replaced. (If the camera is out of warranty it is likely that the repair cost will exceed the value of the camera and you should simply buy a new camera.)

If the light sensor is malfunctioning then you should get over exposed photos no matter how light or how dark the setting. Since it takes good photos in a dark setting it sounds like you have a software malfunction that is incorrectly calculating the exposure for bright light, but correctly calculating the exposure for dark settings. I suggest you call Kodak Customer Support to see if there is a way to reset the software, to update the firmware.

Easy Share took over all of my pictures and now I can't do anything with them like I used to. If I uninstall East Share will my pictures still be there?

Probably not. Try this....create a folder on your desktop. Open easyshare and select all of your pictures. Drag and drop them into the folder. Double-click the folder to make sure the pictures are there. If they are, then you can uninstall easy share.

KODAK EASYSHARE Software is only compatible with KODAK EASYSHARE C-, CD-, CW-, CX-, DX-, LS-, M-, P-, V-, and Z-Series Digital Cameras; and DC4800 Digital Cameras. If you have one of these camera models, go to Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair tool to help resolve this problem.

If you have one of the other digital cameras, you cannot use KODAK EASYSHARE Software to transfer pictures to your computer. Use the software that came with your digital camera to transfer the pictures to the computer. When your pictures are on the computer, you can use EASYSHARE Software to edit, share, and print your pictures.

Kodak Easy Share DX 4530 won't hold charge any more.

Yes rechargeables need replacing from time to time (after a few hundred charges) or every couple of years.
You can use standard rechargeables but these wont charge on the dock as there is a little switch in the battery bay which the kodak pack presses.
Standard AAs ar'nt recommended for digital cameras but you should get at least a few shots from a new set of alkalines (maybe not if they are cheapo no Alkaline)

There could be another problem with the camera but if you like the camera its probably worth giving a new pack a try.
If I remember rightly (but check as I don't have a 4530 to hand) the battery you want is a KAA2HR and are available on ebay cheaply if you cant find a low cost one locally

If I can be of further help drop me a line

Best of luck

Kodak easyshare DX 4530

I have upgraded my Easy share software to version 7.1 ever since I cannot open the program. It comes up with The message of "One or more system DLL's could not be loaded :ES App.dll " then appears the message of "Easyshare unable to run. Please run Setup and choose repair to fix the application.[0,5006,0] " . When I run the repair program, it blocks part way through and the error message of 1334x97x3839719742x appears. Short of getting rid of Kodak off my computer which I dont want to do as I have important pics in the album, and I have a Kodak digital camera. What can I do to fix.
