I did have a hard time getting one out and now I cant get one to stay in . I s there anything I can do or is it in need of repair. I was hoping that maybe the lock was jammed and I could free it up some how. Any help would be appreciated

The battery door latch is most likely damaged/broken. Try using a piece of duct tape to keep it closed. I've done this on several cameras with battery door latch issues & the doors stayed shut just fine.
SD and Micro SD memory cards has a small slide switch on the edge of the card, which write protects data on the memory card or add photos to the SD card. Slide the switch from the LOCK position to the UNLOCK position, which is furthest away from the contacts.
I dropped mine yesterday and have the same issue. I figured that it must have caused something internal to shift so, I know this sounds crazy, I just gently dropped it on my desk, and it actually fixed it's self and works. This camera has been dropped from top of fridge and tv and is still in tact, to my surprise. Proceed at your own risk if you're thinking about doing what I just did, but it worked.
just connect ur cam to pc and then there will be two new drives (if have inserted memory card into it then only)occurring then just identify the memory card one & delete everything or format.................. tahts all everything is deleted..........
