Question about Hitachi 50UX58B 50" Rear Projection Television
I was watching my 50ux58b tv when i heard a loud pop like a twig breaking no power to my tv i took the back off and plug it back in the two green lights on the board came on on for a few seconds and then they go back off can anybody help me trouble shoot my problem or tell what part i have to replace thank you very much for any help
This sounds like the small blue capacitor next to the horizontal output transistor shorted and cracked, which blew the B+ fuse. The B+ fuse is the solder-in type which looks like a small resistor and the value of the blue cap is usually 1000pF at 2KV.
