I was watching my 50ux58b tv when i heard a loud pop like a twig breaking no power to my tv i took the back off and plug it back in the two green lights on the board came on on for a few seconds and then they go back off can anybody help me trouble shoot my problem or tell what part i have to replace thank you very much for any help
This sounds like the small blue capacitor next to the horizontal output transistor shorted and cracked, which blew the B+ fuse. The B+ fuse is the solder-in type which looks like a small resistor and the value of the blue cap is usually 1000pF at 2KV.

This means you have a dead short, It is probably a Diode in the power supply area, but without testing board you don't know. If you know basic electronics, i would say check all diodes in power supply and look hard for something burnt and replace that also. Or just replace power board, check shopjimmy.com
