Lost checking account data

Have you looked in the quicken folder on your computer? In there, should be a folder dubbed back up which should also have a backup of your account.

1 Go to start up
2 all programs
3 accessories
4 system tools
then go to system restore follow the on screen guide. good luck

Is it a 1.44 mb floppy to which you took backup ?

Do a backup of the most recent data first, so that at least data up to 8 months ago are fine.

If you are sure that you searched for your data properly, and data is not found, then a possible explanation is that somehow an 8 month old backup had been restored by mistake.

If this is the situation, the only thing you can do is using an undelete software.

This may not work, sometimes there is no way to recover deleted files.

Do a backup of all your files before starting undelete.

first a suggestion, please don't use floppys for data backup as they are quite unrealiable in my opinion.

if the file was ones stored on the computer and you remember the filename and file type? it is possible that you would be able to recover it.
