try taking the nose apart and look for obstructions. oil with some 3-in-1 oil and that should do the trick. if not - you'll need to take the body apart. there should be a spring in there that returns the driver needle back to starting position.
I push the VHS Cartridge in, it drops down to the play position, the front door opens, the tape comes out, it goes around the chrome wheel that is spinning, but it will not play, will not rewind, will not fast forward. It then shows "Error" and the machine shuts off, with the tape still around the chrome wheel, When I turn the machine back on, the VHS Cartridge ejects from the machine. This machine has been used very little, I loaned it to my Son In Law and it came back with the VHS Tape Deck not playing. I have the machine open, so I can see what it is doing.
I have a mazda 6 also I dont have a manual for it but I believe it is a safety feature as we get in and turn cd's up loud and I believe it is so that as we sllow down it fades so we can hear sirens etc around us. Mine fades down when I drop below 40km and gets louder agian when I get back up to 60km.
This is the way the action works. Try working the lever all the way through the stroke and see how it works. If it still hangs up then look for a screw or pin that is out of position that may be obstructing the thigger group from returning in to position. hope this helps
there is a grayish blue button on the finisher you have to hold down for a few seconds, the tray will drop down. There is a small door to open on the front once the tray drops.
Open the door and there will be cartridges that have orange surrounds on the cartridge. Pinch the cartridge to remove and slide in the new one, close the door and press the blue/gray button to return it to home position
