Question about Uniden GMR-325/2 2-Way Radio Walkie Talkie Dual Pack

1 Answer

Martian sounding I do not have the manual for my walkie-talkies and when I first got them they sounded great. I recharged them and the batteries are fine, but now when someone talks you can't understand them. They sound like Martians! There are "mon" "chan/tone" "menu" and "call" buttons. Could one of the buttons make a difference? I can't seem to change it back. Thanks, Pam

I have a set of Motorola T5720 walkie Talkies. I cannot determine if one of them is not receiving or the other is not transmitting.

One radio works properly, the other can receive. I assume there are more than two by the question. Check and then rotate you batteries, mark on the working unit battery that it is GOOD. Transmit takes a great deal more power than receiving. Batteries, even un-used only last 18-24 months typically. If no joy, then check your programming but I think that is unlikely. It really sounds like a power/battery issue.

T5419 won't work

Sounds like you have a bad battery. Most rechargable batteries need to be replaced after 18 months of use. If your battery is newer than this, You have a defective battery.

My Cobra MircroTalk walkie-talkies aren't charging. The charge light doesn't turn on and I've made sure u turned Tue units themselves off. The model number is: GA-CQ

If your problem started after replacing the batteries (mine did), see this: http://www.walkie-talkie-radio.co.uk/replacing-cobra-walkie-talkie-rechargeable-batteries.html If that is your problem, you can also fix it by wrapping foil around the bottom of the battery that makes that touches the bottom side charging contact.

I have the cobra micro talk with rechargeable batteries my workers plug them up every night and get them in the morning but some arestill saying low battery, does the walkie talkie need to be turned off...

they charge better if they are turned off. since they do not have a paid dedicated channel, signals can

still be received by any walkie talkie using the same channel, and can deplete the charging process

to the radio. good luck!

Walkie talkie batteries don't last

What you have been using are consumer grade walkie talkies. The rechargeable battery packs in them should last a full business day, unless you are in a high use area. This being said, it is also possible you might need to replace the rechargeable battery pack as they usually have just a one year life expectancy. As they start to fail they will go less and less time in a day.

To answer your question about a radio which will go a full business day, any of the business division Motorola handheld radios would work. Radios such as the CP110, BPR40, CP185, and CP200 are all make to go a full day and sometimes more. Their battery packs depending on chemistry would also need to be replaced every 18-24 months.

Best regards.

You can ask the seller you bought the walkie talkie from.
Sorry, I don't speak English very well.
