Question about Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for PC

Printer is not communicating with computer

I just installed a Lexmark Z2300 printer to my pc, and when it says print test page, It pop-up saying that the printer is not communicating with the pc. What's wrong?

    You need to provide a lot more information  than that. How is it connected, USB? Is it turned on? Did you install the drivers before or after you connected the printer? What operating system are you using? Did you install the ink cartriges? Is there apper in the printer? Etc.

USB printer sometime reinstall themselves using a different USB port.
1 ) Check if you have multiple prt in your "settings"/ "prt and faxes" presenting same description + (copy n)
2 ) use as default the printer with the latest and highest number of copy.
You can remove all other copies with same model description.

Why doesn't my printer communicate with m,y computer?


Try uninstalling and reinstalling or doing a repair. Make sure you have your install cd handy. You can uninstall or repair by going to control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers. Then right click on the printer and either troubleshoot or remove the printer all together.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My Lexmark z2300 sends to the printer & it says it's printing, but it doesn't actually print. I've tried several file types & programs to print from but none of them work.

Have you talked with Lexmark Technical Support? I suspect you may have to escalate this beyond level one. Vista on Mac is likely to have issues that differ from other Vista environments.

Unable to print from web on Lexmark z2300


hi ..
log on to lexmark website..www.lexmark.com ...downloaded lexmark tool bar to ur desk top ...once download is complete .install tool bar...then open web page..don not print from file..instead use the printer icon on the top right corner to print...this should fix it

PC not reading printer


With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

Printer and computer arent' communicating


no, a missing black cartridge is not the problem. If other USB devices (do you have a usb mouse or camera) work on your HP, you must try the printer on another PC to test the printer is functional. Many outlet stores like Best Buy will allow you to bring in your printer to test it communicating.
