Ice maker in my side-by-side Kenmore elite coldspot does not work

There is no water getting to the ice maker, but there is water going to the water dispenser in the door.  I understand it may be the ice maker valve but am not sure where it is located.

We had the same problem and just now fixed it. It turned out to be ice in the filler tube. Could not see the ice build up in the tube until we took out the ice maker. My husband put his fingers around the tube for about a minute and squeezed the tube at the top until the ice dropped out. Hopefully this is all that is wrong with yours. Good Luck!!!

What would cause my Kenmore Coldspot ice dispenser to freeze up where the water enters from the tubing into the ice maker itself?

Small leak in the tubing. remove ice-maker, cut tubing about half an inch back and reconnect ensuring the tubing is completely on the ice-maker.

I have a Kenmore Coldspot Side by side refrigerator model 58787892. The ice maker is not making ice. The mechanics of the maker work but it does not fill up with water. The filter is changed regularly...

check to see if the ice tube going into the ice maker is frozen up. you may have to thaw it out to get water to reach the ice maker again. lmk if that's not it

The ice maker red light is blinking and it has made very little ice in the last 24 hours. What do you think the problem is?

Kenmore Coldspot Ice maker is not working on our side by side refrigerator

Just above the tray that holds the ice cubes is a wire bar. If the bar is down, it will make ice. If the bar is up, it will stop making ice. When there is enough Ice in the tray, when the bar comes downm, it will hit the ice. If the bar is not completely down, no ice will be made.

I bet the bar is stuck, or you don't have a water supply to make ice (or it's plugged - de-ice the freezer).
