SOURCE: hi i have a dell

When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

Why do my dell latitude 131L turns off when i watch a video online? it gets really hot then turns off without warning.

It's happenning because of overheating probably. All you need to do then is: 1. Disconnect PC from power. 2. Remove cover. 3. Clean up inside gently (use soft brush) 4. Use hoover to remove dust 5. Put cover back again 6. Connect PC to power. 7. Start your PC and use it normally.

My dell latitude d530 gets really hot after some time using it, and sometimes, the fan stops working

sounds like the fan may be failing. Things you can do:
  1. Clean the intake and exhaust vents with canned compressed air
  2. Replace the cooling fan
  3. Replace the heatsink and/or use heat transfer compound like Arctic Silver and ensure heatsink is not clogged with debris

Dell latitude laptop-freezes after running for a few minutes/sometime on start-up/screen on but no response /fan stops running and nothing responds

Im assuming its a C64, these notebooks have overheating issues.

1. make sure the fan has room to breathe, and is clean of dust.
