I have had a Palm Treo 755p since May 2008. Since May Palm has replaced my phone 2 times. It just froze AGAIN. Yes 3 phones in 6 months. It freezes on the "Access Power" screen. Hard or soft reset does not help. I have contacted Palm area reps and technical support they are no help. They claim that I am the only one that has this problem!!!. My provider's (Alltel) only suggestion is that I buy insurance for it at the cost of $7.00 / month plus $95 deductible. Obviously Palm has no fix for this problem they just send you another phone for 12 months then it's no longer their problem.
Palm better stick to building PDAs and get out of phone business.
Palm 755P is a piece of junk, most unreliable phone I have ever had, it dies on you with no warning. I have had 3 of them die on me in 6 months.

Well, thank God I had done a recent Hot sync! I found out how to do a hard reset by holding down the power button while reinserting the battery then letting the button go and the system will ask if you want to erase all data? I put yes! Then it erases all my data and restarts the phone. I had to plug the phone in to be recharged because the looping ultimately drains the battery. Then, I plugged in the Hot sync cable and pushed the button to start the sync and ta da! back to its working state! Yippee! Do it! It's easy! Just make sure to hot sync often so your info stays current!
try doing a hard reset just make sure you hotsync first so you can backup all your information. Always keep in mind the software you have loaded write it down and the website you got them from along with any registration codes. when doing a hard reset you will lose all the information and programs on the phone basically it will take you back to the way you first bought it.
How to Hard Reset a Treo 755
To perform a hard reset/clean wipe of a Treo 755, do the following:
1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the device.
2. Press and hold the power (red phone) button.
3. While holding the red power button remove and replace the battery from the device.
4. When you see the "Access Powered" screen on the device take you finger off of the power button. At this point, you'll be prompted to erase the device by pressing up on the directional pad.
I think your phone is going into to keyguard mode. Push the Red power button on the top right of the keyboard. Should come up with a keyguard lock screen at the botton of the screen. Push the center button on the 5-way navigation and you phone should function normally until it goes into to keyguard again. You will find the settings under preferences to either turn keyguard off or to adjust the time on it.
This might not be to everyones taste. But my Palm 750v after being put through hell in my pocket started to freeze, have blank screens on reset, and generally playing up and not working.
I found that bending it on top and bottom (not screen), pressing on the speaker part while bending, and twisting it gently restored it to work fashion, well enough to back everything up. I had to keep it bent to get it to bootup all the way through its screens.
I hope this helps, but it might not be for everyone.
