Question about Dishwashers
The noise is continuous. It sounds like the wash cycle used to sound but much much louder. The dishes are not coming out clean either.
It is probably a dying recirculation/drain pump. It serves both purposes so is only off when the drying cycle starts. If the bearings are going bad the seals will probably fail soon too since they will be more stressed by any wobble in the pump shaft due to wear.
