I'm having the same problem as you. A few days ago i went to start up my computer and it seemed fine, but a few seconds when it was on it shut off and kept turning itself back on and shutting off again. I checked the cmos display and it says 8A every time. I have taken out everything and still no result. Please help as my only other solution is to pay 130 dollars to replace the motherboard.

Sounds like it's going to die or its gone faulty,
Might need to replace it or take it to a computer store and have them check it out.

Abit ab9 pro motherboard diagram

Abit Support > Abit AB9 Pro motherboard > Motherboard manual download page,

On this page left-click on the country nearest you
(Asis, Europe, US)
After you click a small window will come up -

Make sure there is a green dot in the circle to the left of Save File.
If not, left-click on the circle.
Now go below, and click on OK.

A small download window will appear on the left.
While it is downloading look at the heading.
It will show the percentage rate of downloading, and state where the file is going.
Example: 50% downloading - Downloads

I just downloaded the file. It is going to a sub-folder within the My Documents folder called Documents.
(WinXP: Start > My Documents > Downloads)
For me I will go to the My Documents folder, then double-click on Documents.
The file may go to the same place for you, or to your desktop screen.

This is a Zip file. You need a program to Un-zip the file, if you do not have one.
If you do not have a program I suggest you download 7-Zip for free.
(Zip files are used to send large files easily)

When you see the file name, Double-click right on it.
Click on Next, Next, and Finish.
You will now see a small window with the file name next to an Adobe PDF icon.
Double-click on it.

If you cannot download this file, let me know in a Comment as to what you wish to know about the motherboard, and I will post back in an additional comment.

Manual and Bios for Abit AB9 Pro Motherboard

Hello seany187,

What I'm doing since your system doesn't want to download from Abit, is creating a zip file with all the drives, manuals, utilities and bios updates for both XP, XP64, Vista, and Vista 64, since I don't what OS your on, and you will be able to download them from this private site HERE. And because the files are so large, I split them into, I'll post the second one as in a comment as soon as it's completely up on the site.. You shouldn't have any problems with these downloads, unless you have your IE settings to high.

Good Luck & don't forget to leave a rating based on my Solution.

Thanks Mark

Stay tuned for the second file!
