Metal Gear Solid 4 froze up on installation on my PS3

- I tried restarting and realized that my 80 gb hard drive was full. I then installed the game with no problem. I watched the opening scene in the game and when it gave me control of the character I crawled under a truck (as the game sugested), the screen went black and the flashing CD symbol with a question mark appeared flashing in the upper left corner of the screen. I had to shut the unit off after it beeped at me (I think 3 times).

This is weird. Should a PS3 have trouble with PS3 games?
