I just removed links from one of the white stag watches today. The answer is in the link below.

http://www.watchmaterial.com/How_to_size_a_watch_band.asp

Friction pins are used to hold the links together. I used a jeweler's screwdriver and a small hammer to tap them out in the direction of the arrow. I put them back in the same way.

How to resize the bracelet?

Without a picture of the bracelet it is a little hard to be specific but there are usually little pins on the end of each link (look at the edge of the link (not the face against your arm or the face you see). Use a push pin (something very narrow - a paper clip is too big) to push the link pins out for one link. You may have to rap it lightly with a small hammer or mallet. You may also need to try the other end of the pin if it doesn't come out.

This will allow one link to be removed. Reinsert the pins and you are all set. You may want to take out a link on the other side of the clasp if more than one link needs to be removed to keep the clasp relatively in the same place on your wrist.

Good luck.

How do I shorten my Ice watch strap?

mcdevito75 here, I imagine you mean a Band (metal) they can be shortened by removeing links from the band itself, you"ll need a specific tool called a link remover tool. they are available on ebay. However by the time you get the tool and the time to do the work, and if you don"t do any work on watches, the best bet is to look for a small watch repair shop in your area to remove these links. Hold onto the removed links for later replacement. If it"s a Strap (material) on your watch, say, leather, rubber etc. simply cut the excess strap at an angle with scissors.

I have lost the back of a gold ladies geneve watch. can I get a replacement back? Gold case, white dial with black clear numbers , gold brick link type bracelet. 9ct.Quartz model.

Best bet here is to go to a dealer that carries that brand and seeing if they can order you a new caseback.
Or, you can look for the same model online or EBAY that is broken or in disrepair, then just scrap it for the caseback. (It is not always possible to find one, but i recommend trying as this is the least expensive way to obtain small parts).

Adjust ladies citizen watch metal link band

If it is a metal link band, you can remove a few segments. Segments are connected by split pens. You should see a thinner end and a bigger end; or an arrow on the inside shows where the thinner end should be. Push the thinner end firmly with a pin or something until the big end pops out the opposite side.Use pliers to remove the pin.

Help with removing links from a Calvin Klein ladies watch

There must be something wrong as ALL watch bands are held together by pins or screws. Did you try to unscrew them? These might be screws instead of pins. And if these are pins, they MUST come out because there is NO other way to shorten the band.
I would advise you to find the watchmaker, not the jeweller, and he/she will be able to sort things out.
P.S. Not all the bands has pointing arrows on them, so, no worries about that.

Do not forget to rate, please.

Purchased fossil ladies watch am4183 at Macy's, stainless steel band is too big, is this band adjustable, if so how.

Check the sides of watch band and you will see the pin ends. They are holding all links together. If there are arrows inside the watch band, they are pointing the way the pins must come out.
To shorten the band you have to:
Extract the pins.
Take link(s) off.
Join the rest of band together and drive pins back.
