Question about Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
i installed a new colour inkcartridge, and the printer does not recognize it has been installed. it won't print.
i cleaned the insides, but now i also get an amber light, alternating with the green...
what is wrong?
could u please help?
thanks a lot,
The problem you are describing seems to be one of Genuine parts compatibility? Are you inserting the Canon replacement cartridges? if not then the printer will fail to communicate with them. I had the same problem, unfortunately these replacement/s carry printed circuits with information chips that only communicate with their genuine machine/s.
If the cartridges are genuine then maybe a fault on their circuit boards/chips and should be returned to the seller.
I hope this helps?
Happy New Year!
