The PSP shouldn't require soldering to replace the screen. That tab should fit into a slot.

We have a Back To Basics popcorn popper that has a broken piece. The piece is the clear see-through plastic top. Where can we find a new piece?

West Bend took over this company and no longer provides plastic window replacements. I fixed mine by super gluing the window and attaching a small strip of wood on top of the 2 plastic window pieces with small bolts (super glue pieces so wood can be properly attached because glue alone will not hold up to the heat). Not attractive but it works. (West Bend rep told me windows break because of high heat, but I only used mine over medium heat; I think they break at the spot where the raised lid hits the gear mechanism holder.)

My drivers door electric window has come apart from the raise mechanism. How can I remove the door panel to see what the window problem is. I cannot see how the panel is removed.

The problem is more than likely that the window regulator blocks have broken. They're just made of plastic. They are the pieces that are attached to the bottom of your window and actually attach it to the small metal cable that lifts and lowers the the window. You can get new stronger ones from your local Audi dealer for around $10 a piece (2 per window). I just changed mine out today and it took me about an hour. I'll attach a Youtube link that shows you exactly how to repair the problem. After watching this video, I repaired my own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UP1Rn7Wj3s&playnext_from=TL&videos=MdxL5eeE9-Q I hope this helps. The fix is easy, probabley a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale of difficultey. And save yourself $300-400 doing it yourself.

Dryer won't heat up

When is the last time you cleaned out the dryer venting? May be a blockage that is causing the no heat problem. Check directly behind the dryer and also outside at the vent cap. If it's a gas dryer, it will not have a heating coil. The gas burner lights with an igniter. Does the igniter glow orange when dryer is first turned on? If not, it may be broken. Look for broken ceramic piece below where it attaches and replace. Do not touch the ceramic piece on the new igniter, as it is very fragile.

My 2000 mitusbishi glant trunk will not open

If you go to Sears or any large dept. store you can puchase a 24" long flat head screwdriver. Using this and a flash light you'll see a slot on the release mechanism right in the center rear of the trunklid. Turn it clockwise to open the trunk. Yuo'll probably find some small object has lodged in the catch. Oh by the way, have someone on the outside lifting occasionally while you turn the screw driver. Best of luck, Dana

Car will not chnage from park position when put in reverse, drive

I think there is a cable for this that goes to the transmission. Problems with them are broken cable, or loose cable clamp especially on the transmission end. It is also possible that the end attached to the transmission detent got unattached, or the end to the shifter did. Rick

2003 Ford Explorer back door latch will not open

Mine just did the exact same thing. The latch may be moving freely because it is not hooked to the latching mechanism anymore. In my case, the handle had broken where the handle hooks to the rod that operates the mechanism. Go to the Ford dealer and buy a new handle. Here in S.C. it was $24. You can't get this at the parts houses. Start by removing the plastic "Ford" cover that is over the liscense plate lights. You then have to remove the aluminum rivets that hold the handle to the tailgate from the outside and remove the broken latch. Remove the pull handle loop on the interior side of the tailgate (2 screws), unsnap the inside plastic tailgate interior panel, and pull down the black plastic sheeting that is underneath the panel to make access to the mechanism inside of the tailgate. There is also a hard plastic cover that you will see that needs to be pulled loose to open another access hole. Install the new tailgate latch handle by sliding back into the mounting holes and attach with two 10-32 screws and nuts. The new handle will come with a new yellow rod attachment piece on the handle. You will see inside of the tailgate a small rod hanging down, most likeky it will have the same rod attachment piece as the one on the new handle. Note the position of the yellow piece on the rod, as you will connect the new piece in the same place. Once the rod is hooked up, relubricate the metal mechanism with a light machine oil, replace the black plastic cover, replace the black plastic sheeting, (secure with a small amount of duct tape), replace the tailgate interior panel, replace the pull handle loop, shut tailgate, replace "Ford" cover over lights, and you're done!

RH door mirror assembly

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then you can access the mirror assembly.. it's a huge pain to change such a small part

Hoover mach 3 cyclone vacuum shut off during useage. can't turn it on. cleaned it out and let it sit thinking overheated? this is 2 months old. help?

I had same problem. Turned out to be the filter that sits above the waste cannister. Remove the waste cannister. There is a little orange lever that releases the filter. It was caked with dirt not allowing any air flow causing the motor to overheat.

This foam filter gets dirty pretty fast.
